i want to see some of these projected 1 seeds taking losses to open a path for us to climb to the 1 line, so go Kansas

Never know if refs feel like letting the trailing team get away with some fouling, or if they call it right away on the traps

Shocked Jayhawks would get the benefit at home. Council was dead to rights

Michigan still has at Purdue and Duke at a neutral site before us, but with this Arizona loss very likely Michigan is going to head into SFC at #1. That game, on Feb 27, is shaping up to be the biggest home game in what, 20-25 years? And that’s just the game. Throw in the Morez situation and that is the biggest Illini game I think I’ve anticipated since the glory years under Self

Tre White with some clutch free throws to close it out.

On one hand...I don't want a team to go undefeated. On the other hand...KU losing would insure a top 10 ranking for us. But then again...Self is personally absolved of all previous transgressions (due to scrimmage and pre-season games). I'm 100% rooting for the Jayhawks tonight (tuning in at half-time)! I'll throw my hat into the ring predicting a 4 point KU win 🤷‍♂️
Dude. Nice call.

There is no friendlier whistle than the whistle Jayhawks get in Lawrence.

The team stats were even everywhere except the FT line where KU out scored them by 13.

We're back on track! See my Wisky prediction? 🤷‍♂️

Don’t mind Kansas on the 2 line (or better) like us come march…not a team i’d like to see in the tourney.

Of KU or Arizona, I actually think KU poses a more difficult matchup for us as they seem more athletic/switchable. I do think one of the more under the radar reasons why Keaton struggled against MSU (besides all the no calls), was Cooper was athletic enough to keep Keaton in front during a switch. And even with Boswell I’m not sure we have someone who can keep Council out of the paint. Peterson can maybe win a game by himself but he could also go 0 fer if he even plays.

Zona I think we can match the size and physically of their frontcourt. And like I think we can with Michigan I think we can neutralize what they do defensively with all of our stretch bigs. More concerned about their guards, but once we have Kylan back should be able to stick him on Bradley probably and then hopefully Burries is a better matchup for Andrej than Fears or Braden as Burries is a bigger guard.

Obviously comes down to making shots, but I also think the math just favors us against either because we shoot a lot of 3s and they don’t. If we shoot 33% or above from 3, they have to shoot over 50% from 2 to match us which jut doesn’t leave a lot of margin for error.

Lot of teams that can beat us, but no team scares me this year including these 2.
