My comp would be Jalen Duren.
Love that one actually.
Probably not as skilled with footwork or moves around the rim, yet. But play style wise that seems to be a reasonable hope for him.

That's a good point. If you can pressure the guards enough, they will cough it up. If they get in transition.....not ideal.
Agreed on Yaxel.
Any current nba comps come to mind with Morez you like?
Not sure about that either:I am going by the schedule they have. UCLA and Iowa away are the two hardest games… but they should be favored. Anything can happen in the BIG tho!
Former recruit Certa from BCC had 37 today for ND. Had 34 last week against Virginia. I doubt he stays at ND
One mock NBA draft has Morez going pro in 2027 and is projected to go late in first round. I am not sure how his game translates to NBA.Agreed on Yaxel.

Even if they are favored, it would be extremely marginal.
Has nothing to do with Nebraska, but to explain the math theoretically — imagine there’s 3 games in which a team has a 45% chance of losing….
if you were a gambling man for ONE of those games, you’d take that team to win. But for across all three games, it’s significantly more likely the team drops at least one than wins them all.
Therefore, the thought “just because they’re favored they’ll win” …. it might hold true for one game, but it will almost NEVER hold true across a collection of games.
Similarly, Nebraska has 3 losable road games remaining: @Iowa, @UCLA, @USC. Them going 2-1 is a whole lot more likely than going 3-0. I honestly wouldn’t even rule out 1-2.
I coached against him in HS. We held him to 16 thru 3 and then he had 21 points in the 4th. Lol. He needs to put on some weight but he is a natural scorerKnowing how much this staff loves shooting I’d very surprised if Certa isn’t given a Josh Dix level offer at least from Illinois in the offseason.
He’s shoots 37% from 3 on real high volume (over 6.4 threes attempted a game) and 90% from the line. He loves Shrewsberry but maybe he’s enjoy winning more?

We dodged a bullet yes? Twice imo… Sarr.Speaking of Josh Dix, Creighton falls to 13-13 on the season
Dix shooting .313 from three this year
For comparison, the worst shooter in the history of basketball (Ben Humrichous) is at .352

Sounds like Dix is going through some tough personal stuff too. I hope being closer to home at this time has made up for a rough senior year bball experience.
Oddly enough on Sarr, his minutes are ticking up again - yet nothing statistically indicates it should. Super curious his offseason path
Same story with Nebraska. Two weeks ago: "Why is nobody talking about how Texas A&M is alone in first in the SEC?"
Now: "Oh, they didn't play anybody until February, and now they're in 8th."

The craziest part of this whole ordeal is Powell's haircut...UGLY scenes in Providence today.
While 4 Johnnies were tossed against Providence, it was a terrible Flagrant 2 against Hopkins kicked off a fight with players leaving the bench. Later, another Providence player was tossed for an intentional shove on a St. John’s player in the air heading to the hoop.
I don’t see how Kim English makes it to next season. Not only is Providence not good, it looks like English has lost control of the team.
