OK, let’s settle it! We’ll host the BTT in Eugene next year, and y’all can camp out in my yard… I take cash, check, credit cards or bourbon! 🥃

It should be in Chicago every year. Just like the Big East is always in NYC. This moving it around diminishes its appeal.

Chicago is central, the location of the home office, BTN, and it is the easiest to get to the for the majority of schools.

*Maybe* once every 5 years it’s in an alternate location.
I would compromise in having the BigPac 10 Championship Game at the Rose Bowl for football each year, so long as the BTT is in the Midwest each year for basketball. Best of both worlds

I mean, yeah, I would hope so. But upsets happen, and IMO Samford is the most dangerous of the 13 seeds.

To me it’s just how we match up. They are 11th in tempo, looks like they press all game and go 10 deep with all guys playing between 15-25 minutes.

Although in general we’ve done an amazing job of taking care of the ball relative to expectations with no PG, we can get a little sped up and turnover happy, like the Penn State game. And during the Iowa game they didn’t really force us into a lot of turnovers exactly but most of our turnovers were a result of us being sped up.

So can we not get sped up and not wear out playing a team like that for 40 minutes?

Samford is tiny across the board. Terrence would be on 40-burger watch in that game.

Samford has some crazy tempo numbers this year. They've been in multiple games with 95+ possessions. And that's despite the fact that they get (and allow) an above-average # of offensive boards.

I believe we wore Ia out in the first 10 min of the game. It took them 10 minutes to catch their breath. Go Illini. Can’t wait to see who our first opponent will be and where we will end up playing.

Wow thanks for adding the champ games! 5 of them tonight makes for a great night of hoops. A nice appetizer before the meat and potatoes over the next few days

I like it when we run. Transition baskets are easy baskets. Ayo was fantastic and pushing the pace. So is Terrance. Drives me crazy when we do an outlet pass and Marcus walks the ball up the court. I am OK with him slowly backing into lane but when our guys are sprinting down the floor and the defense is backpedalling we should attack.
