I suspect they'll give us Arizona if the seeds stay consistent
But wait...I thought the Michigan loss had us fighting for a 4 seed or something?
So many great games to be played over the next 13 days. Many of these games will be like mini-Final4 games. It will be Elite Top 16 vs Elite Top 16.Florida the 2 to Arizona 1? That is laughable...no way that will happen
So looking at this... Houston and Ia St can't be with Zona. We can't be with scUM. So, we get AZ? FL to Uconn. Houston gets scUM, Ia St gets Duke?
With the consolidation of the conferences maybe it is time to relax that rule? When like 13 of the top 16 teams come from only 3 conferences avoiding matchups is much harder and makes less sense. So looking at this... Houston and Ia St can't be with Zona. We can't be with scUM. I believe we will win the next three games which will keep us on the 2 line. That said, the 1 seeds right now are Duke, AZ, Mich and Florida/Uconn. The 2 seeds are UConn/Florida, MSU, Houston and Illinois. Most likely we will be put in the South region with Duke. We will get the top 3 seed which would either by ISU or Tech. We will not get PU, Gonzaga or Nebraska. The Zags will stay out west as a 3 seedAs long as we are not the last #2 seed, seems like we will be put in Arizona's region which I am all here for. Just avoid Duke at all costs.

The conference rules aren’t that restrictive, especially with larger conferences now where many teams only play each other once:With the consolidation of the conferences maybe it is time to relax that rule? If all three are 15-5 Illinois will get the 4seed.Any idea what Friday session we will likely be playing in at the B1G Tournament? Either 6 or 7
Illinois: 13-5 with 2 likely wins left putting us at 15-5
MSU: 14-4 with a likely split left putting them at 15-5
Nebraska: 14-4 with a likely split left putting them at 15-5
Unsure of tie breaker scenario since MSU beat us and we split with Nebraska. I tend to think we will be playing in the morning session (6) but would like some others opinions before purchasing tickets. TIA!
Mine was 1983 when Derek Harper, Efrem Winters, Bruce Douglas, Anthony Welch and George Montgomery lost 52-49 to Utah in Boise. I was stunned! Just a week or so earlier, Harper hit a long jumper to beat Minnesota and clinch a spot in the tourney and my young brain couldn’t comprehend that that didn’t mean we weren’t destined to win it all.Anyone wanna share their earliest tourney memory?
Mine was 97 when we last to Chattannooga. I could not understand how we lost to a team i had never heard of
Then of course 2 years later we lost to Florida in 2nd rd who somehow was a 5 seed?

It's that first bullet that is creating the issue. If you are Houston at 6 and they put you in the Duke or Michigan bracket to avoid having you play Iowa State or Arizona I think you'd be pretty pissed and rightfully so. And the whole top 4 seeds are getting shuffled around like that because 13 of them come from 3 conferences. The conference rules aren’t that restrictive, especially with larger conferences now where many teams only play each other once:

I forgot they lost to St Marys. They will be a 4 in the West.Zags are currently a 4seed after their loss to St Mary's.
Barring MSU or Nebraska losing out, we will be the 4 seed (assuming we handle business this week). That would leave us in the first Friday Session (#6) playing in the game after Michigan.Any idea what Friday session we will likely be playing in at the B1G Tournament? Either 6 or 7

I want another run at them, but since I will be attending the Illini Friday session (likely the one with Michigan), I will be perfectly happy to see disappointed Michigan fans (even moreso if they lose to Ohio State).I can’t decide if I want to play Purdue game one of the BTT (for us).
On one hand, it all but locks up a 2 seed. On the other, lose and it all but secures a 3.
Frankly, losing that game probably removes us from a 2 seed regardless, though the 2/3/4 lines have gotten WAAAAY weaker the past couple weeks (us included obviously).
Call me crazy but I want another crack at Michigan in the BTT. If we were to beat them, could move us to the top 2 seed which would be awesome.
If we end up the 4 seed we will play the 2nd game of the morning session.Any idea what Friday session we will likely be playing in at the B1G Tournament? Either 6 or 7
