Pu not so scary without “Frankenedey” are they ?
Yeah. Smith on the short list of greatest college players for sure, but the brass needs to cool it with that group being the winningest of all time. Even if true, it’s a pretty good group that happened to play with Zach Edey for 2 years.

13-7 back to back years. Really good but hardly historic.

I wonder if we see an Iowa like regression from Purdue the next few years. Fran got lucky with Garza and the Murray’s but the wheels really fell off after those guys. Mayer looks like he’s going to be a good player but not sure he has “it.” Jacobson has potential but at this point looks like a slightly taller Matt Harms. Maybe their incoming frosh PG is the next Smith but I don’t see any stars on their roster right now.

Okay, so in this other case unless they win their conf tournament they’re still not a shoo-in due to their poor profile/resume. It’s just facts. Is it right? I don’t know. People are arguing “interesting team/story” vs putting the best teams in, and Miami OH is objectively not as good of a basketball team as Indiana.

This does not look like a tournament team.

2 Q2 wins
Best win, Akron. That looks to me like Miami is on very thin ice without getting an auto-bid. Bracket Matrix has them as an auto-bid, but within the last half-dozen at-larges, so it's probably close.

Wisky did to PU what they did to us: Let loose the dogs of Blackwell and Boyd slice and dice PU for the last 5 minutes. Nice strategy Gard!

Was this a foul on Cluff? I just have zero interest in acting in support of Wiscy after all the awful officiating they benefited from in our game.

Probably could have won a bet with someone back in 2022 if you would have taken UIC to be the first among themselves, Belmont, and Murray State to make the Valley tournament championship.

They should add a few more play-in games. Then the "bubble" P4 conference teams can go against runner-ups in non P4 conferences to get in the tourney 🤷‍♂️

Indiana is a mess. Devries is in many ways saved by cignetti.

Much broader conversation…

The apathy towards basketball has grown there for a bit I think. But as an Indiana native, with so many IU friends, it seems they’ve reached a real weird tipping point on “passion”.

DeVries seems in the micro saved for a bad year, but if it’s because fans don’t care?
