yep. with a win we're guaranteed to be at least a 7 seed.To lay out the scenarios (and hope I'm on point with most of this):
MD loses out to scUM and NW, RU loses out to RU and ILL, UCLA loses to USC or NW - all three happen and we win, we're a potential 4 seed.
Two of them happen and we win, potential 5 seed.
One happen and we win, potential 6 seed.
None happen and we win, guaranteed 7 seed.
While I would love a 4 seed...To lay out the scenarios (and hope I'm on point with most of this):

Considering the severe unlikelihood of MD losing to NW at home (and assuming the slightly better than coin flip odds of Illini beating Purdue), I do not find it compelling enough odds for me to ever actively root for Michigan.
A 3 seed is still possible, but unlikely. Here's what has to happen:To lay out the scenarios (and hope I'm on point with most of this):

Either/or as far as I'm concerned.USC over UCLA is better than NW over UCLA.
7 seed at worst is guaranteed if IU wins in Eugene tomorrow night.None happen and we win, guaranteed 7 seed.
So long as we see 2nd loss from UCLA either tonight or this weekend, that's all that should matter to us.USC over UCLA is better than NW over UCLA.
Matt Hackman had 0 probabilities where 3 seed in BTT happens so we should forget that.A 3 seed is still possible, but unlikely. Here's what has to happen:
1. UCLA loses to either Northwestern or USC (or both)
2. Purdue loses at Rutgers and Illinois
3. Wisconsin loses at Minnesota and at home to Penn State
4. Maryland loses at Michigan and at home to Northwestern
5. Oregon beats Indiana at home and Washington on the road.
That would create the improbable three-way tie for third at 12-8, which we would hold the tiebreaker for.
Now you know how to root.![]()
Who do you trust? Some hack named Matt Hackman, or the Big Ten Tournament Simulator?7 seed at worst is guaranteed if IU wins in Eugene tomorrow night.

Probably a guy who does it for multiple conferences, not just the B1G and also probably knows what he's talking about.Who do you trust? Some hack named Matt Hackman, or the Big Ten Tournament Simulator?
