I cannot stand Kelvin Sampson. But I can't help but respect how hard his Houston teams play. They just scrap, battle, hustle, and outwork teams to pull out wins when they do not play that great otherwise. That's the type of team that can win a national title, because they can grind out a win even when they don't play very well. In a six-game run, most teams will have a game where they have to win a game like Houston did last night. What UConn did last year is extremely rare in the annals of teams marching to a national championship. That's basically happened twice in the 2000s if I remember things correctly, with 2009 North Carolina the only other team that had such a consistently dominating run to a title.

Uconn was arguably more dominant in the 2023 run than the 2024 run.

Excluding the 1/16 game because that can skew results, they won each of the next 5 games by an average of 19 points in the 2023 run, and 20 points in the 2024 run.

Not discounting this comment, just saying both were pretty ridiculous. I personally felt like they barely broke a sweat last year.

Agree, he is a waste of human being with no scruples, but he is pretty darn good basketball coach.

71-46. Rutgers has pretty much given up. No def by Rutgers. Wide open shots. All it is shooting practice. I thought Rutgers would give a tougher game.

Put Tomi down low against Renn and get him in foul trouble. KB has to stick in Smith’s grill. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a cylinder call on KB.

Watching Indiana v. Oregon, and it is insane that Woodson doesn't run more actions for LG who is shooting 50% from three. It is like he is an afterthought. Also, Indiana has to be one of the worst rebounding teams with the size they have. Just terrible.
