Watching Ark v MSU, I’m happy we play zone defense now and have an eraser.

But these teams play fast.

I took Arkansas money line. I think they snatch a win in breslin.

we need to play zone against MSU. they can't shoot from the outside at all. pack it in!
Currently 1-11 from 3, but these boys rebound. Not surprising. 16 defensive and 13 offensive.

We are so much better of 3 shooting team than either the MSU or Arkansas. No where near as athletic, but way deeper, and more steady. Bring on the harder competition (especially when we are healthy).

I am glad Alabama beat St John's only because we play Bama and they will be rated higher now that they beat the Johnnies.

It may just be the orange koolaid, but I think the Illini are faster, play better team ball, and shoot better.
The only unknown to me is how well we play D against them, altho I think we are better on that front, too.

But that's Bama. Don't want to lose focus on Texas Tech!

I hope they don't induct him again
Hahah fair.

Every defensive play by Kohler is a foul. Its all fouling so frequently that refs get tired of calling it.

Their season is going to be dictated by whether refs call it. They're not today for sure.

My brain understands that a MSU win is good for us, but man do I hate this team..
I will miss their certain grit they have year in year out when Tom leaves.
Also, can we get a timer back on reviews? If the official can't tell in 1 minute, review camera goes black and rule on court/field stands.

MSU will be a player in conference. Close games could be troublesome for them. They can get stops and rebound, but when they need a bucket, the only option on November 8th is at the rim.

This annoys me more than it should. It wasn't that long ago that Mackey was just another Big Ten gym - difficult to win at but only to the extent that all Big Ten gyms are. And it was our Assembly Hall that was routinely lauded as one of the premier environments in the sport.

The product on the court has something to do with it. But I still contend that the main reasons for our diverging home atmospheres are:

1) Mackey dedicates about 40% of their seats to students. SFC dedicates about 20%.

2) We moved students off the court after the renovation. Which compounds the mistake of having a smaller student section.
