If I'm Matt Painter, I'm feeling pretty good. Lots of time without Edey, and they took a pretty solid punch from Wisconsin in that half. Yet they go into the break even. It will take a lot for Wisconsin to stay in the game unless they can get Edey into more foul trouble.

Loyer's main skills are hitting open threes, talking smack after hitting open threes, looking scrawny, and flopping.

He did take a legit charge earlier but he is always looking for flopping opportunities.

Doesn't Purdue always seem to have a player like this in the program? It's almost like they have a recruiting profile and one of the assistants is there to develop this.

I’d like to see a round 2 for TSJ, think he will respond well and set us up well for the tournament. Think we have a better chance at winning the tournament against Wisconsin of course though.

Who are y’all rooting for? I’d much rather get another shot at Purdue than face a heating-up Wisconsin team who would be out for revenge.
Given that the only thing that really matters for tomorrow is a tournament championship trophy and getting everyone through the game healthy, I don't necessarily care who Illinois plays tomorrow. But obviously, I'd like to head into the NCAA tournament on a win and Wisconsin would provide the better chance of that happening.

One bid league tournament title game, but 16-17 Delaware State leading Howard 55-49 in the MEAC title game in Norfolk. That would seal up one of the First Four 16 seed spots.

EDIT - Probably two of the four 16-seed play-in spots are sealed with Wagner (16-15) and Montana State (17-17). Delaware State would likely be the third of those four spots.

Honestly don’t care … excited for the chance to beat either one to hang a banner if we can win today. Purdue is nice for revenge, Wisconsin is nice to extend the winning streak vs. them and neither win will count for our seed (we think).

I think Purdue.....we win the championship over purdue that's got to be good for a 3 seed.....lose to Purdue in championship game and I don't think that hurts us much......beat Wisconsin doesn't move the needle much....lose to Wisconsin that's not a good look going into the nc2a and for sure a 4 seed maybe moving down to the 5

Ref, just because Loyer falls down. It doesn’t mean it’s a foul!

None of this is accurate.

Losing to Wisconsin wouldn't hurt us at all. Win today and we're a 3. Even if we lose today, we have no chance of falling to 5.

Auburn and the Evil One up 47-40 on Mississippi State. Very much a trench warfare game, probably more so than Wisconsin-Purdue. The current YouTubeTV quad screen is currently:

Top left - St. Joseph-VCU A-10 semi
Top right - MEAC championship, Delaware State-Howard
Bottom left - SEC semi, Mississippi State-Auburn
Bottom right - Big 10 semi, Wisconsin Purdue

The largest margin currently on any of the four games is seven points.

I’d like another shot at Purdue. We have to silence the Sleepers crew, and isn’t that what it’s all about?

I know that I'm a broken record, but the only impact the Big Ten tournament final ever has is if the game involves a team that can only get into the tournament via the automatic bid (like Illinois in 1999 when they made the BTT final). The game simply ends too late to have any impact on seedings since the bracket is announced about 30 minutes after the game's conclusion.

Today's game is the last game that will have an impact on seeding for Illinois.
