I've never seen a team less prepared for a game than us tonight. (Well, maybe Indiana but they are actually good). And I've seen a lot of unprepared Illini teams. Speaks volumes about this staff. I don't care what anyone says, it is up to the staff to have their team prepared to play. Players don't purposely go out and do the opposite of what the staff tells them. They are prepared and execute or they are not. This is all preparation - mostly mental.
Preface: I love BB and what he has done for the program. But the job is not done. He better come out and own this in the presser. He is responsible for this. He chose to hold on to Henry and B Miller and the special teams coach after some pretty shaky issues last year that had people questioning them. All need to be replaced because those units have been total disappointments this year and they are eroding BB's goodwill at this point.

I thought our floor was 7. - 5 and that feels like it is rushing at us at high velocity right now.
The line of scrimmage (both sides) has been a major vulnerability. We’re just not bullies where a great team needs to have some bully.
We are way better than we were, but we have a ways to go before we're where we want to be. My hope is that this isn't going to turn into a Brad Underwood situation where we like the coach and what he's accomplished, but we don't like his over-loyalty to certain ineffective assistants. I hope that Bret proves that football isn't burdened by that sort of situation by making some changes.

Experienced O-line? (Terrible). Experienced RB’s? (Injured or underwhelming). Henry and Miller should be fired tonight. I will say that Lunney was embarrassing, and got out coached, as did Bielema. A winning season is great for Illinois, but when you get this team, and this schedule, to lose this game is a complete failure. I’m concerned about Bielema’s ability to analyze staff. Unfortunately the blue print is being set to why you would not want to be loyal to the Illini

Well, we had supposedly switched spots with them in the B1G pecking order. They just came out and EMPHATICALLY put the brakes on that talk.
There aren't enough "pathetic" gifs in the book to sum up tonight's failure.
Our offensive line has been suspect all year and our defense has been awful. While it has been great to have a winning program again we are not going to reach cfp level unless we start getting some 5 stars and multiple 4 stars or get better at recruiting the portal. Bret needs to make changes in his staff!!!
Gonna be the under this year because NW will run all over this defense.
