All the talent we have and yet, we go out there and poop ourselves against one of, if not the, worst teams in the conference. I REALLY hope Bret can get over his issue of holding onto staff too long that he has a soft spot for. Don't get me wrong, I'll take this season over 95% of all our other seasons, but if we want to awaken that sleeping giant I've always heard Illinois football referred to as, we've GOT to make some staff changes in the coming off-season.

I predicted preseason that Maryland would be our mess the bed game, was one week off. Never expected this against Wisconsin.
And extra scary in your note above, the quality of the opponent in each loss keeps falling yet the performance is the same.
Seems like the coaches that left should have stayed and the ones that stayed should have left.

I think this was a clear example that our offense cannot handle an above-average defense. Obviously our defense cannot handle anyone. Embarrassing.

Nothing really to add to what has been said other than this Wisconsin is historically terrible and the fact we were outgained by them shows that Henry needs to go.

I have not jumped ship, but this performance was certainly disappointing. Get ready for Northwestern.
Did you have season tickets before this year? Obviously I am as disappointed as everyone because it seemed like we were finally getting what we waited so long for, but I have watched so much bad football that I am not going to jump ship now

Yah I was very surprised...sounded Ho-hum like the loss was no big deal...Apathetic almost..
What’s really disappointing is seeing the undisciplined mental errors that were common with the Zook, Lasagna, and Lovie teams still happening too frequently. It feels like this year has been the worst for these mistakes since Brett has been the HC. It’s doubly frustrating as we returned so much experience this year. This bothers me more than whatever W-L record we end up with.

There is no way this team is CFP-ready. They've had a good season but this game and the other "W" - Washington - we should have won. A pick on the opening series? Trailing at halftime? Top-5 schools usually don't fail like that. Much work to be done in the off season...MUCH.
Changes will be made this offseason.
