THIS is an issue. He's not a PG, but he's being forced into the role. There's a lot of wasted shot clock.Too one dimensional on offense tonight, Wagler dribbling around with no ball movement.

Although I want to get really pissy here, I think this is a great and spot-on point.A lot of intense reactions here because it sucks to lose.
But AS not playing tonight was HUGE. That's 28 minutes taken away. Defense and scoring and rebounding missing.
If you told me at the beginning of the year we're playing Wisconsin without KB and AS, I ask did we at least not get embarrassed?
It SUCKS to lose, especially at home. But they gave all they had, and all they had left.
Other guys wanted to take their shots.I just did not understand in overtime why we didn't go at their big with KW. They chose to switch all game.
Every time we did we got something positive out of it.
"Finally the ball finds Wagler" as Hummel described.
Ha ! This. Every year. We’ve reached that part of the Illinois season where things which were once so promising have come crashing down around us.
Kinda like without Ayo we would lose to Michigan? Until we crushed them? These types of hypotheticals are ridiculous and have no basis in reality. With a full squad not down their 2nd and 3rd best players, imagine if Morez and Mara sat that game they’d have lost by 20
Yep. Mental fatigue.Free throws . . . . JFC . . . 11 for 19 for 58%
5?We were down two starters that average 28 pts a game between them and are two of our best defenders, but we’ll be lucky to hold on to that coveted 5 seed . . . and yes, I am overreacting, but this loss was unacceptable.
Brad does not seem to agree with the 10Btw, here we are thinking this team is 10 man deep and with 2 out we played 6.
Pretty damning.
Yep. Refs and injuries and fatigue and apparently even our lame-!!! crowd are out of anyone’s hands … but FTs must be better. I know some misses are related to fatigue, but you just can’t go 11 for 19.Free throws . . . . JFC . . . 11 for 19 for 58%
Id argue it’s on the DIA as much as the Krush for nothing allowing all lower bowl to be students. Disconnecting most of the students by putting them in the top 5 rows of the stadium kills the mob mentality of the sectionThis is a bottom half home court advantage in the Big Ten right now …
Petro can run the offense to spell Wagler for rest and when Mirk is being a turnover machine. There is video of this man running offense. On D, he can’t be worse than 6’9, 7’1, and 7’2 guys guarding them.Needed more proven guard depth …
Wagler, Bam, Petro, Lee … 2/4 of those guys aren’t even playable …
Can’t have that …
Crazy…yet true.
