Very disappointing. Even without KB and AS, it still sucks. Make your damn FTs. After this game, they are definitely a 3 seed.

Is this the point of the season where the defense starts mucking things up again?

Time to readjust expectations. A team with athletic guards in the Round of 32 can absolutely beat this team.

Not saying there aren’t good “excuses” like us being tired or horrible refs or injuries … but come on, guys. This short handed and tired team, AS IS, had to go so out of its way to not come out on top in regulation. And they of course did all of those things.

I keep telling myself the only silver lining is that maybe we fall to #3 seed territory, end up getting the Chicago Regional and we’re playing elite basketball again at full strength in a month.

Never should have lost that game. End of story. We gave it away. Over on the phantom offensive foul call on Tomi in regulation.

So, no out of bounds plays ever designed, no quick basket plays ever designed, and we saw twice tonight and against MSU that Illinois doesn’t go over end of game under a minute situations.
