Regarding the Krush it really is crazy after watching the KU game last night.. just not even in the same stratosphere - for the UM game can Josh just say get lost and give all tickets to the fraternities? There is no just no juice there

Regarding the team, just want a 3 or better seed and really not worried once we have boz back

I’m trying my absolute best not to say what I truly think about that situation …
Same boat. I'm biting my tongue because I do want to acknowledge he was hurt. Not questioning that. I think he should have given it a shot given his team needed him desperately, but it's not my ankle and I can't grade his pain tolerance.

This situation was nowhere to be found until.about 2 hours until tip.

This guy was in the OK tonight. Sums up the game. I’m out like a boner in sweatpants for the night.

I understand it's a big win for Wisconsin, but the post game celebration from Gard and Blackwell, seriously, down our two best defenders?
A win is a win. We were up 12 and rolling. And they came and took it away from us. Wouldn’t you celebrate if you were them?

I’m not sure Andrej hobbling around screens at 50% all night on two awesome guards is overly helpful either.
If he couldn’t go the right call was bench him. No issue there.

My question is how do we not find minutes for anyone to rest our starters.

We went 6 man rotation despite guys being paid on the bench. You saying they couldn’t get 5 mins to give a blow to Mirk or Wagler?

David looked GASSED against Purdue and still gave it everything. He doesn’t play and we don’t win that game. 50% Andrej getting a couple buckets and rebounds (while not even needing to play 20 minutes) wins the game.
David is not Andrej and Andrej is not David.

One a slow footed, non athletic (albeit awesome bball player) stretch 4 who guards other slow bigs, like Cluff and TKR in the Purdue game you mentioned.

The other is athletic and bouncy guard. Certain injuries effect certain players more, especially given who the matchups are.

I have zero idea how much the kid is or isn’t hurt. I’ve seen him come back and battle through stuff before, so I’m not why I’m to believe he mailed it in and quit on his team… I’ll leave that to others (but I plead not to)

I will point out that we had the ball in the hands of our POTY candidate prodigy with a relatively clean shot at a game winner at the end.
This team is far from cooked.
A hard loss to stomach in the moment.
Rest up. Get healthy.

Yeah I'm confused and a little disappointed that he didn't at least try to play considering the circumstances and the rest that we have going into the next game. Just start the game see how you feel and go from there but we needed all hands on deck tonight. We're in a conference title race.
Yep unless it is broken you don't bail on your teammates when you are on short rest and down one starter already.

I'm not surprised because I posted in the game thread that he was hobbling late in the MSU game but he still played. Of course that's adrenaline and an injury usually shows up after a few days rest but people at the game said he was warming up. I'm just disappointed that he didn't even try to play. We weren't playing Rutgers or Penn St tonight

You have insight into the injury? You know when and where it happened and have info to base questioning AS? If not then this is way out of line

This isn’t the fist time, by a long shot, that we learn of an injury just before the game. Happens all the time. So that is a BS reason to give.

Turnovers. Free throws. Offensive Rebounds allowed. Ballgame. Really tough game choked away late in regulation.

Can't let two become three. B1G champ is now likely out of reach, but this team can still really compete during March. Need to start a new winning streak beginning with IU on Sunday.

JFC. Some of you are awful.

We’re paying him almost $2M, I think we’re allowed to voice opinions (while also being understanding that hate for the sake of hate is not acceptable)

You mean opinions based on zero facts?

30 years ago or whatever I was charged with guarding Tony Wysinger in a pick up game. I thought it would be funny to mention Austin Peay. Let's just say it wasn't funny to him and he dogged me.

i think a six man rotation is the only reason we lost. Wisconsin was great at the end. hit their free throws, hit big shots. we need more intensity coming into OT. I'm so disappointed right now

Yes, indeed. We are 800 miles from Champaign so it’s a little hard to get back for games in the Assembly Hall. But when Illinois goes to Rutgers, we’re there. We were in Philadelphia for Penn State and we have tickets for Maryland. And we went back for two men’s games and a women’s game. And then there’s the season tickets for football.

It’s expensive to attend games when it takes five days to go to one. If anyone wants to contribute…should I start a go-fund-me?
We'll be at the game in College Park in March, too!
