Turnovers. Free throws. Offensive Rebounds allowed. Ballgame. Really tough game choked away late in regulation.

Can't let two become three. B1G champ is now likely out of reach, but this team can still really compete during March. Need to start a new winning streak beginning with IU on Sunday.
It's gonna take winning out at this point which we have proven we can do. I said 17-3 probably wins the conference and there is no margin for error now. 6 games left. Win them all!

Somebody needs to. They are a pretty quiet and uninvolved group by any objective standard. Davis wigs not withstanding.

How many people in Krush were standing there dead-assed? Too many. What the hell guys this is theoretically why you showed up.
Seems like they only cheer when they see themselves on the Jumbotron or if nuggets are at stake. Embarrassing.

Two of our 5 losses have come in games where we made less than 60% of our free throws. Normally we are above average making free throws, but a couple games it’s like a contagious disease strikes the team.

David is not Andrej and Andrej is not David.

One a slow footed, non athletic (albeit awesome bball player) stretch 4 who guards other slow bigs, like Cluff and TKR in the Purdue game you mentioned.

The other is athletic and bouncy guard. Certain injuries effect certain players more, especially given who the matchups are.

I have zero idea how much the kid is or isn’t hurt. I’ve seen him come back and battle through stuff before, so I’m not why I’m too believe he mailed it in and quit on his team… I’ll leave that to others (but I plead not to)
I’m not saying he quit on his team I’m saying he thought he didn’t need to go in order for his team to win

Brad doesnt give some players a real.opportunity to play. This is nothing new new. The sample sizes are too small for Mihailo just like they were with Podz and Griffin. BU just really can be so stubborn at times. Tomi was rollimg and he just wouldnt go through him Mihaili hasnt ever really been given a real chance. Like i said its nothung new for Brad.

Quickness kills us but our quickest players dont see the court ever

12 games missed this season by starters...

Probably amazing we were even contending for a B1G title in the first place considering:

Michigan: 0 games missed by starters
Michigan State: 1 game missed by starter (Ugochukwu in their last game)
Nebraska: 2 games missed by starters
Purdue: 2 games missed by starters
Illinois: 12 games missed by starters

It's not an Illinois basketball season without at least one head-scratcher loss that makes you say WTF? Rebounding and missed free throws were the story. We also suck at guarding teams with more than one skilled ball handler, especially since Kylan has been out. Did Andrej pull a Darryn Peterson this game?

I’m not saying he quit on his team I’m saying he thought he didn’t need to go in order for his team to win

He did? What time today did you talk to AS about it? Or maybe you heard someone with knowledge interviewed about it? Or maybe you’re just full of it.

Oddly enough, the success we’ve had without starters makes these results more frustrating lol.

Boyd and Blackwell without Boswell and Dre sucks. Outside msu michigan I can’t think of a worse matchup. Damn near would probably prefer Nebraska or just accept Braden going nuclear and hanging with the other guards for Purdue

Regarding the Krush it really is crazy after watching the KU game last night.. just not even in the same stratosphere - for the UM game can Josh just say get lost and give all tickets to the fraternities? There is no just no juice there

Regarding the team, just want a 3 or better seed and really not worried once we have boz back

There’s 700 student Krush tickets according to Wiki. Blaming 700 people for an arena of 15,000+ being quiet is silly.

this was a weird Nexus of all of our previous losses.

uconn loss - rebounding
Alabama - free throws and quick guards
Nebraska - 3 pt blitz and shots at the rim
MSU - missed calls by the refs and physical play on our guards

and of course... untimely injuries

I hate it all

Where was Petro?

How about Nico Moretti while we're at it!?!?

Petro is where he belongs.

Thankfully we got the biggest boom in college basketball in Wagler to enjoy for the rest of the season

It's a pattern the last few seasons for sure

Uhhhhhh...wut??

This is like saying I should have nothing to say about my money because I'm not at the bank.
That is like saying there's not enough money in the bank to someone who works for a living while I'm unemployed.

Well,.during this season I kept saying there is going to be one crappy loss to a lesser team, cause there's always one. Im hoping this is the one.
Michigan State was a crappy loss too.

Wisconsin definitely out shined us in the box score - rebounding and turnovers allow them to shoot 17 more shots
