"the better point was that Clark was basically walking off the court when she did it and not in the face of any Louisville player while Reese was going out of her way to walk over to Clark on multiple times to do it" if Reese had done it on the sideline it would have been touche. Reese was taunting right in Clark's face (but no T's) - even at end of game when LSU was shooting FTs. For all the talk of some men and women's teams being "more talented" - then why do they need to play thug ball to win. And somehow refs allow it. LSU doesn't go on their 1H run if Iowa doesn't have 3 starters in foul trouble on bench, or as it should have been flipped - LSU should have had 5 starters in foul trouble in first quarter and Mulchey should have been T'd early.
Was listening to a podcast today and they mentioned that when people use "thug", that is usually a code word for "black". Take it for what it's worth. A little research seems to verify that statement.

edit change: then why do they need to play rugby-style basketball ...

I thought I saw that she is one year away from eligibility for the WNBA draft. Is that right?
Just googled and it said the HIGHEST paid player in WNBA makes less than 250k in salary. Yikes
Right, CC is eligible for the WNBA draft after next year, but players who were in school during COVID have the option to stay in school fifth year of eligiblity. I imagine what she could make in NIL by remaining in Iowa would blow away $250K.

As of now, Caitlin Clark would take a considerable pay cut if she went to the WNBA. She will be at Iowa for two more years. She is the biggest thing to hit Iowa since John Wayne was born there. Look for her mug to be all over advertising outlets in your travels thru Iowa this year and the two years after. There is no WNBA franchise that could afford her until she runs out of eligibility. It is said that her NIL money and the NIKE deal puts her way over a million a year.

Iowa's Caitlin Clark says LSU's Angel Reese shouldn't be criticized for 'You can't see me' gesture

Classy of Caitlyn. She also gives credit to LSU who is deserving to go to the White House as NC, and says Iowa should not go.

The most fun I ever had playing was during pickup games against the women’s team at IMPE in early ‘80’s. It was also the most trash talking I ever experienced.
