It really wasn't a "high boot", or dangerous play as would be the ruling from the referee. Walker went down low to head the ball out and Perisic got to the ball first. Perisic wasn't moving toward Walker, so any contact would have been initiated by Walker. Had Perisic been moving into Walker, then possibly a case.
I found it odd that the announcer kept referring to it as a high boot. No such call. It's dangerous play, just as playing the ball on the ground in traffic, etc.
I thought World Cup finals were supposed to usually be boring and lacking excitement?
If either side scores another goal here, they'll tie the highest scoring final in World Cup history.
