Looks like we are serious in our pursuit of Chasson. Jay Price reportedly made the trip overseas to watch him, along with coaches from Purdue and Stanford.

Interesting that the three coaches who have followed him to Germany are the three schools perceived to be out front in the running for him. My best guess is that the large majority amongst the '2 dozen' still on his list know very well where they stand with him. Purdue/Stanford/Illinois... I will be shocked if he doesn't end up at one of these schools, and really hope the come out on top.

Kudos for the staff on letting Mr. Randle know the ILLINI have him at the top of their wish list. I guess if you asked me Randle has had us at the top of his list since I've heard his name. We know UofI isn't the only program who's garnered the mutual interest from Randle either. The staff still has to recruit guys with more priority being the pf/c spot obviously needs another body/. You could argue we need too secure a solid four year guy if most of current players live up to expectations.

Great point, I mean if JH and BW are only give 100% effort, I would hope we have enough effort in the budget to bump that up to at least 105-110% effort. But with the budget crisis I do not know if we have the extra effort allocated to the recruiting budget.

speculation
Everyone on this board speculates, so to say that a recruit is going somewhere is pure quess work, not to be taken seriously. And by the way, just because someone holds an opinion (and it's only an opinion) different to your own does not a troll make. If the coaches don't know what recruits are going to do, how does anyone on this board know better? They don't. Opinions are a dime a dozen.
