Anyone know when season tickets are supposed to be delivered? This is the first season I've gotten season tickets, so just a bit curious as to when I should be receiving them.

We should get them by the middle of August. Most likely within the next week or so.

For some reason football tickets always show up closer to the beginning of the season than basketball, even though basketball requires more printing....

Maybe it is that there is more variation in the designs between regular and premium seating? I really don't know.

For those wondering when tickets will arrive, envelopes are being stuffed. They'll start shipping tomorrow. #Illini http://pic.twitter.com/zHj3XGW7

The girl in the pic is not wearing Illini gear. If your tickets are wrong, it could be her.

Barcodes.

The barcode technology has reached its way to University of Illinois athletics!

Nice! I'm not planning on selling any of my tickets, but it's nice to know I can use StubHub if I can't make a game for some reason.

Are we sure that just because they have barcodes they are going to be able to be electronically forwarded? I thought that was kind of a extra perk or service that can be offered that might also depend on what ticketing system they are using.

My Bears tickets have had barcodes for years and ticket forwarding just came around a couple of years ago through Ticketmaster.

I am asking, I really don't know because like you I almost always go and don't really use the ticket forwarding.

It would be nice to have that.

We may not have true ticket-forwarding capabilities (such as logging in to a separate STH account and putting them up for sale) but I'm guessing with the barcodes, we can enter the barcode number which would create an "electronic" ticket to be sold on StubHub, and eliminating the need to rush out to a FedEx to put the physical hard tickets in the mail.

I can't believe that in 2012 there are still a bunch of people sitting around a table stuffing envelopes with tickets.

I don't even have hard copy tickets for my Braves tickets anymore - they are assigned to my credit card, and they swipe that for my ticket and my parking pass. And I can give them to people via e-mail.

Hope the Illini join the 21st Century soon.

They can take their time as far as I'm concerned. Love collecting ticket stubs. Swiping my credit card would take a lot of fun out of it for me.

Just arranged travel for Arizona State game. Haven't bought tix yet. Would like to sit next to some Illinois fans. Anyone know what sections we'll be in?

I'd call the Illinois ticket office and then Arizona State's.

Thanks Dan - I'm heading out there as well (bought tickets through the IFUND) but haven't received them yet.

Will you be updating the thread of seating charts for away games again this year?
