Funny that Dee is on campus again for the 2nd time in a month with what's his face no longer in charge. I hope Dee stays for the weekend.

I went to High School with Matt. Even more reason to hate Indiana and Crean now.

That's what he gets for turning his nose up in the air when Illinois became interested. I hope he has fun paying a year of college.

Isn't there an alumni visit the weekend of Nunn's official?

I wonder if we could get Deron on campus if XRM takes an official here? I thought I remember XRM saying that Deron is his favorite player.

There's an basketball alumni reunion set for the weekend Nunn visits. Hopefully a lot of former players come back for it. Do we know if and when XRM is planning on visiting?

Whoa now. Hold your horses on that one. I am guessing that is sarcasm anyways, but Crean has shown time and again that he is a dirtball.

I totally agree on Crean. The fact he has his degree isn't really relevant. I see it as generally when you offer a scholarship you are offering it to a player for the duration of his eligibility, which sometimes can last up to six years worst case scenario. While it was pointed out Crean kept him in the loop and never promised him anything, it sure doesn't seem right to Roth that after giving all he had for 3 years of eligibility he is show the door, no matter how polite Crean was in doing so. Kind of like a 30-year employee at a plant being show the door a couple of years before he would like to retire because the plant now has younger better options for his position. Where's the loyalty?

I'm actually glad Crean is a slime ball, because the B1G needs a good villain, and who better than Indiana?

Could the Block-I do that as a card trick at halftime?

if anybody knows someone in the Block-I it is something worth recommending they do. any impact we can make on d-jax showing him some love and fan support can truly do nothing but help Groce & Co pull in this program changing recruit

Klee on Jabari Parker:
Quote:
Unlikely, yeah, but Illinois is still going to recruit him. Illinois still is attempting to build a relationship there. Until they sit down with him, Illinois doesn't have a firm handle on where it stands with that recruitment. They know it's a longshot. But John Groce isn't going to fade out without knowing for certain. Jabari Parker was always going to be a longshot for Illinois, regardless. As for the second question, Coach Rob Smith is fine with Illinois. His daughter attended the university and worked in the basketball office for a while and he follows the program closely.
