And Kyprianou has more prize women on the way, indicating that three of his committed recruits project as national contenders next year. This will be something to follow ... and watch.

Outdoor Track and Field season begins today. The Illini are in Miami. And Petros just keeps rolling out new world class talent. Making their first appearance in an Illini uniform are freshman javelin thrower Eleftherios Kontonikola, who committed to the Illini men's team last season but missed the whole year due to injury. He's one of the top 100 javelin throwers in THE WORLD. Another new outdoor athlete for the Illini women's squad is junior hammer thrower Phethisang Makhethe. She spent the last two seasons at New Mexico State and is set to make her Illini debut this weekend in the hammer throw competition.

Makhethe did throw the weight at one indoor meet competing unattached. She is right there with Simpson as a talent.

Where can I get a T-shirt with that design on it.... I like it! Maybe an orange base with the blue design and orange block I ???? Either way, orange or white base with that design works for me!

This all came out of nowhere for the women’s program. Very impressive
I wouldn't say out of nowhere. It came from Josh hiring an absolute grand slam hire of a coach in Petros Kyprianou, taking advantage of him leaving on bad terms at Georgia where he didn't feel supported even after winning a couple NCAA championships. That's what having the best AD in the country can do for you.

Funny, thought I replied.

The women’s success is the most impressive I can remember. Buford days were great but this is incredible.
