This may be a strange question, but can you bring garbage bags or something of that sort into Memorial Stadium? I'm assuming the seats will be wet, and when I went to a couple rainy Cubs games this year, my seat was soaking the whole game. Any way I can bring some big towel or garbage bag or something into the stadium? I'll be sitting out there cheering on my Illini regardless of weather!

According to FightingIllini.com, it seems as though garbage bags would be acceptable. However, you never know what they might pull. They might decide that it is under the "Bags" category so that they can make some money on ponchos. Regardless, I'm pretty sure you could purchase ponchos inside Memorial Stadium. I'm kind of counting on that assumption.

Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a little skeptical to the amount of rain that is being predicted. They said that there was a very good chance that it would rain today in Champaign and then continue on and I felt nothing but maybe a drop all day. I'm not saying, I'm just saying...

SOC -- Western Michigan

1) Turnover fairy. She OWES us. We are DUE for some luck. Fumbles, tipped interceptions -- we just haven't had a good luck season since 2007. We're due. I think this game kicks off with some luck, mostly because

2) Issac. Sweet, sweet, Tropical Storm Issac. If there's one thing we could use with two safeties (likely) out, it's wind and rain. Make it sloppy, and Carder doesn't get a chance to go for 549 yards. Make them run against our front seven, and they have no chance. We might lose next week in the desert, but we're not losing this one in the rain.

Illinois 30, Western Michigan 17

I believe ESPN3 is now one of the "channels" under the WatchESPN umbrella, which I think doesn't work outside the US.

You may need a VPN to make it work...and you'll need your cable-provider details (assuming you subscribe to one of ESPN's partners)...

Looks like rain and thunder for the game. Maybe we'll provide the lightning.

You are 100 percent correct. Does not work outside the us. Noted this right after the post. Went around the little town I'm in and found a place that has Espinoza for the Iowa game...but no Espn u. Looks like I will be streaming wdws and mr Brian Barnhart. Just like a true illini, never give up.

Go illini!

I think the eye of the hurricane will be right over Champaign during part of the game. I'm going to the game and am kind of looking forward to watching the game in a hurricane (tropical depression).

I'm no longer sure the game is available everywhere on ESPN3. Apologies if it's blacked out for you. (My http://espn3.com screen lists blackouts for other games, but not Illinois-Western Michigan.)

looking at weather.com and animating the radar it looks like the rain will spin out of the area by game time.

Wonderful looks like it will be beautiful weather in Chicago as well. Thurderstorms starting in about an hour plus. I still have to go pick up my friend at her place and head to the bar to get cover.

Revised score:

ILL 33
WM 17

DY and JF both go over 100 rushing.
