There a quote that reads, "I think that kid from Indiana is going to commit soon. I know there were a couple other kids waiting on Kendrick, too." Something like that at least..

Makes you wonder, especially if the coaches truly are carrying on the I-L-L

1st post on this site but, I have been a guest for quite some time. Kendrick committing today is great news. Hopefully D-Jack is up next followed by XRM.

Groce is great and we are lucky to have him. In 4 months, he broke down the barrier to Simeon for a top tier player. He seems to have the charisma and It factor to relate to recruits and get them to want to play for him which is something that Weber missed. I'm excited to see what he can do with a winning program and more time to work on a recruit. These are the types of players Illinois needs to get back to the top of the Big 10. Nunn could be a first team Big 10 player by his junior year.
Congrats to Nunn and welcome to the family. His freshman year playing time will come a lot down to what happens with a 2013 PG. If we get a good PG, Abrams will probably play a lot of SG and his mpg will be 10-20. If not, I don't see who else on the roster will start over him at shooting guard. I guess that's why the staff is going after XRM. Over/under 2 hours before the ILPrep's article saying they were spot on with their analysis and first to call it with last night's tweet saying Illinois was gaining momentum with Nunn... |

Lol I can just see those two (Melvin and Kendrick) driving home taking non-stop media calls, putting guys on hold, passing phone around, just soaking up all the attention. Enjoy the moment!

OSU already had lined up an official visit for another SG today, Kam Williams, but they have been pursuing many guards/wings in the 2013 class (for just one opening) in addition to the already committed forward Marc Loving. Nunn seemed to be just another 4-star from a state other than Ohio that OSU recruited unsuccessfully - there have been a lot of those lately. Nunn is a great get for Illinois, but Illinois needed him more than Marquette or OSU.

I could not agree with you more. This does more for the I-L-L than it could ever do for the two you stated above.

This is great news! Nice work by Groce and his assistants. I'm ready for this to be a segue to more commitments. Welcome to Kendrick and his family.
