Generally agree on the size and bruiser comments, but it is a bit misleading to skip Sullinger from last year. He could bang.

True, but the list provided was every B1G team's 2nd biggest starter. I'm assuming Sullinger was the heaviest.

Coach Weber is that you? Again.

I was told Groce goes 8-9 deep, fast paced, plenty of substitutions. Rotation should have a new meaning.

Naturally, if you've committed, yes it's awkward, but he has not!! Some coaches have a rule that if you commit--then no more visits.
I think DJack still takes a KU visit particularly if it is for Phog Night, but that doesn't change my thoughts on him being a UI commit or lean or silent verbal or whatever you want to call it.
Kid's only get recruited once.
But what the h*ll do I know, I thought Nunn was headed to Memphis.

Therefore, it may be possible to play Henry or Rice at the 4 for stretches. I don't want to speak for justsomedude, but it seems like a reasonable conclusion to me.
Yep, exactly my point.

Seriously, get Latulip squatting 2.5X-3.0X his weight and he'll actually be fast and strong enough to get good playing time.

Sounds like he needs to pick up his energy level if he's going to play a lot. Groce isn't going to give a lot of minutes to guys who float around or disappear for long periods. I agree he's got the talent so I hope someone lights a fire underneath him.
Players are nt bigger now than they used to be, in fact I think the role of big men has deminished, I can remember few illini bigger the big george or effrem or steven scheffler of purdue,,,the rold of big men andf the requirement or number on the floor of them in college with the three point shot has continued to be less of a requiremnt in college hoops. Now than in the past. Did Purdue even play a 5 last year?

It seems there is a little confusion going on. Here's the latest BTF, Kramer, salty, etc. have come up with that we can share:
  • No one has said DJ is committed. There are just good sources that he has given the impression to Groce and others that he will eventually commit.

  • Although there are some rumors out there, I expect DJ to make his visit [to Notre Dame] this weekend.

  • From what I hear, XRM may still favor FSU. We are gaining ground quick however, similar to DJ and ND a few weeks ago..[XRM's visit to Illinois this weekend] will tell us a lot about that recruitment

  • Nunn has indicated to Coach Groce he will try to visit this weekend. Same goes for Malcolm, but there may be something that prevents him from coming..

  • DJ did give thought to not making his ND visit this weekend. He wants to rap up the process. ND now selling him on staying home and being the local hero like Skylar Diggins..

Any questions?

College players that are good enough to get paid are way bigger than they used to be.

Ummm Augustine played Center if you want to call it that...Weber's offense that year was more 3 guards and 2 PFs, though Augustine always took the center on defense. I have the entire season on tape if you'd like to disagree

What is that something?

That's a pretty strong statement that cannot be verified.

Will DJack visit KU?

Hopefully whatever is on Malcolm's schedule can be rescheduled. It'd be real nice to have all hands on deck this weekend.

So where does the 'Groce going down to see DJ tomorrow' fit in with all this?

Just passing on what I've heard.

And the KU visit is highly doubtful.

I was wondering that too - just something on his schedule that doesn't allow it?
