But, I have to admit, that I am afraid that the tweets that Nunn made saying "You can't trust a soul" and XRM saying "I feel so disrespected right now" may, indeed, be a reference to the fact that John Groce believed DJ when he gave a silent verbal to Illinois and now he has changed his mind. I know some people think in Nunn's case, it may have been a response to girl troubles, but I am troubled that they would both tweet this. I tell you what, I am too old to be losing sleep over a 17 year old boys college choice! But, that is exactly what is happening! I think I better call my doctor and get some Ambien! If DJ chooses ND, I will need it for the next several months!
I doubt Groce would put himself in a position to where he would be disrespecting these recruits by selling them on something he didn't have. Not to mention, DJ, XRM, and Nunn on all "friends" on twitter now, so to some degree, there is communication between them. I'm just going to guess that its unrelated.

Thanks Dan. Good to know we still don't know squat.

Believe this: if the ND coaches had indeed gotten a firm yes from DJ the news would have broken wide open.

Both coaching staffs up there last night? No one knows, which is amazing. I'm just trying to imagine what DJ has said to the staffs. Is he just flat-out telling them "you just have to wait until Thursday"? That seems so odd.

Stay confident that Groce has this figured out ... I think he's on top of it!
I agree..I try not to read to much into the tweets. Most of them could be totally unrelated. In Groce I trust.

Hey, everybody!

Go watch some Demetrius Jackson highlight videos instead of...
  • asking BrooksTaylorFan, RyanK, Kramer116, and saltygrapes about their sources,
  • asking BrooksTaylorFan, RyanK, Kramer116, and saltygrapes to repeat what they said about ______ in an earlier post before you joined this forum and/or started reading this thread,
  • giving your thoughts on the odds or percentages that he goes one way or the other,
  • posting your hair-brained idea on how everyone should spam @DJay24 on twitter,
  • expecting some new information to get leaked that has any accuracy to it,
  • getting sucked onto the speculation-fueled roller coaster,
  • eating another IL member,
  • waiting until Thursday afternoon for real news to break,
  • holding your breath,
  • getting any work done at your day job.
Carry on.

He saw what a rock star Kendrick was for picking us. My state, my school. While ND isn't necessarily the "state school" of Indiana it still is his hometown school. Have this empty feeling in my gut that he saw what KNunn went through and it made him think more with his heart (stay at home and be a local legend) than his head (go to IL play under a Coach with a great system for PGs and on a team with great talent coming). Throw in the ND to ACC wrench and ND is maybe a bit more attractive than we are giving them credit for. It's not like Brey has done a terrible job there.

At the end of the day I still think he picks us, just think he has weighed things within himself and with his family that is making this decision so hard for him.
Always had a twinge of concern about how the "our state, our school" thing might rub others.

I'm also remembering the timely tweets from Nunn and KBD expressing disappointment about something yesterday. (Possibly unrelated)

It really seems that DJ is a man who doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings so he will say what you want to hear. If this is the case coach Groce needs to stay until Thursday and maybe follow him to the TV studio.
Coach going to ND could be as simple as Dj asked him to be there for the announcement.

For the sake of nostalgia, I wonder if Digger Phelps and LaPhonso Ellis were brought in to reveal to DJ the "facts about Illinois".

High profile PG Demetrius Jackson will stay home and play for Notre Dame. #Irish.
Edit: he also said the same thing on Monday, but with no official citation.

He's usually pretty spot-on, but I'm still not buying anything until it is officially official.

This tweet (no, we don't know who for Illinois was there)-
Why doesn't anyone know which Illini coaches were there? ND wants to keep that top secret?

247? as in the 247 that hasn't been around for a while?

Yeah...

I still stand by this one going either way. I've accepted that DJ could go to ND, but I don't consider it a sure thing by any means.
