Well...I heard from a buddy that Kyle Bosch came down for a visit Saturday. It would be awesome to steal him from Michigan. But, I'm guessing our performance didn't do a whole lot to sway his decision.

RyanK is right we worked out Moore at DE on his visit. Though he has had a solid senior year on the OL so maybe he could change our coaches minds on where to play him?

Rumor on the street is that we told Keane we would probably offer if he agreed to play OT but he was hesitant at first and never totally agreed to play there. That's a total rumor so take it with a grain of salt.

Brian Allen is really...really good. So...let's be honest he's most likely not coming here.

And on the Aaron Bailey situation...he is going to red-shirt barring something crazy happening.

Weekend Wrap - Bailey hurt in Bolingbrook loss

AARON BAILEY and Bolingbrook (Ill.) High School lost its first game of the season, 42-19 on Friday night at undefeated Lincoln-Way East (Ill.) High School.

Bailey, a senior quarterback who committed to Illinois in April, suffered a sprained right knee early in the first quarter and will likely miss a week or two because of the injury.

And who do suppose his best WR's at Illini will be? Exactly. With a HORRIBLE OL and next years brutal schedule....no reason to put him on a suicide mission.

Exactly and why waste a year of eligibilty playing behind this line and with a lack of talented Wr's I would redshirt him if possible

Ryan, or anyone. Do you guys know if the staff is in contact with Micah Johnson out of Tolono Unity? This kid is the real deal, man. Almost really in a league of his own in the okay conference. And we have a huge need for a WR. Obviously wouldn't be an instant impact guy, more of a developmental WR.

Just wondering what you have heard about him, if anything.

Found some highlights on hudl from the first 6 weeks of this season. He has started since a sophomore... And if you don't know much about Tolono they are a powerhouse every year, so it's not like he was starting over a bunch of scrubs.

Great speed and he does not go down without a fight.

EDIT: Here are his junior highlights also.

He's unranked on rivals.

But can they recruit?

Kid looks like a bruiser who's hard to bring down.

There were also a handful of halfback passes.

He looks like a pretty solid Defensive End as well.

And a 4.0 student.

I would say solid, not spectacular, pickup. I think he could develop into a pretty good player.

Is a 4.78 40 fast?
Maybe for a tight end?

Jon Davis is legit. Wish we ran more of our offense through him. He reminds me of Vernon Davis. This Tyler White guy seems to be flying under the radar, and I hope that's due to unawareness by other coaches as opposed to a lack of skill and talent.

BIG kid who could develop into a very athletic LT a few years from now. Doesn't look explosive enough to play TE in our offense. You don't see many kids that big playing tailback in high school!

Reminds me more of Evan Wilson. Could be that blocking te that can catch and run some.

I'm guessing this is the plan. We know the offense we will run requires athletic linemen.
