I don't think whoever wins is Chicago's team, with that title hanging in the balance with each matchup. If it turns out that the teams treat it that way with songs and proclamations, make the hat trophy one of those mini-Sears tower souvenirs instead.

You and I can identify the Illini tendencies. Think maybe opposing coaches have figured it out and know how to defend it? I'm doubting our coaching staffs creativity. They blew it all on that one fleaflicker that lead to a field goal.

Oh, you mean the way this offense is supposed to run? This offense is based on the read-option but it doesn't matter what it's based on when we can't get a 3-step drop without having a defender in our backfield.

And that north-south comment makes me think you listened a bit too much to Glen Mason last week.

No bowl. No B1G wins. A disappointing season. Every ball has seemed to bounce the wrong way. New staff. Rough season all together. That's all behind us. It's a 1 week season. Lets play fast. Play smart. And play together. And let's BEAT NORTHWESTERN.

The Illini's uniforms are a train wreck right now. With the new helmets, nothing seems to match quite right. Do we really need to wait till 2014 for the new unis?

These players need a coach that can teach a little discipline and self control.
We can't compete, we can't even play fundamentle football. I'm Glad this is over. I,m embarassed for the University of Illinos!

Can't get chat all game, so I have to comment on the fact that Northwestern's second-string offense and fourth tailback were driving strongly on us, and then Fitz put in some 290-pound walk-on at tailback for two plays just to demonstrate further what a complete and utter joke we are.

We just gave up a safety.

Can't wait until this staff gets better players . . .
