Jabari Parker commits to Duke

I think JP is gonna follow his religion and commit to BYU after the showing there commits put on in Chicago a few weeks ago.

It would sure be nice if he came here. Along with Nunn, Tate, and, and Coach Groce & company is quite capable of producing a national champion and kids ready for the pros. Even the Simeon Coach has stated so. It is just a matter of getting the players to come.
As the players see Coach G's results, in the next year or so, I believe the elite will be going with the Illini.

I might be alone in my opinion, but this "announcement" business strikes me as a "look at me" moment. Don't sign when everyone else signs, wait until you can hog the spotlight by yourself.

It's a 6 month tour, just a stopover before the raptors, unless he follows his religion I don't see more one season.

Agreed.
And its not as though it is costing them a lot. For example, if one of my kids had wanted to go to Cal Tech instead of Illinois, probably a big boost in cost. Florida vs MSU, a bit more travel.
Florida vs Duke, really nothing.
So let the student choose.

Can't say that I really care where he goes one way or the other. I will just be glad to have his name not mentioned on here again.. Wish him well but it is time to move on.

With that said I told the EMT's to be at my house at 3.. just in case the defibs are needed. Anyone think he will have an Illini jersey when he announces for MSU? An insider told me he was going to help Izzo take a shot at us for firing his buddy..
