That's on Renteria. Dude is in love with bunting. It's maddening.

Poor decision, poor execution.

Pretty cool watching Moncada strike out because Renteria bunt attempted him into an awful count.

What the HELL is he thinking?

Quote:
With a man on first base and no outs, an MLB team's probability of scoring at least one run in the inning in 2015 was 0.499, or roughly 50-50. Pushing that runner up to second in exchange for an out reduced those odds to 0.447, or just under 45 percent. So not only does the bunt reduce the number of runs the team could expect to score in that inning (from 0.84 to 0.65) but it reduces the team's odds of scoring any runs at all.

Pretty quiet on here despite today's victory over the cubs

Don't recall where I heard it but going into today's game, Quintana was the last pitcher to win a game for the White Sox and Cubs.

I want to stay he's the first pitcher in MLB history to strike out 10+ in a game for both teams in the same season.

Can I also mention I'm so so glad we're not facing him this series. Too soon.
