Then, seconds later, he answered his own question. If he had stayed at receiver, Hawthorne said he wouldn't be here. Hawthorne, like a handful of All-America receivers from his high school class, said he would already be in the NFL.

"I would have had that opportunity to do that this year," he said.

IMO, one of Ron Zook's biggest mistakes of managing his player personnel was with Terry. I kind of feel bad for the kid. I'm rooting from him so hard this season and to be a high draft pick! But then again, I've always rooted for him cause he's so awesome.
