Can't wait for college football season! No matter how much I can't stand them, I will be waking up at 8 for the ND game in Ireland, and will not be turning off CFB unt the last west coast game ends. I hope I'm not the only CFB nut out there

Also, even though Dan doesn't have it on the list I think NC State beats Tennessee. NC State is very underrated coming into this season.

Added those two games.

Must win for Dooley.

Nice that football will start at 8am CT on Saturday Impressive that ND sold out Aviva Stadium (50k), should be quite a sight.

No, i'm a huge fan as well Ryan. I was watching HS games all weekend as well. I have the NFL Sunday ticket too, so i will be watching football nonstop for the 3-4 months.

1) It still makes me sad to see what has happened to PSU's program. So awful that Sandusky ruined it for thousands of alumni, students, an fans, many of whom I am great friends with.
2) Since ND is my #2 (shh...) I am looking forward to that game. Pretty sweet that they are playing in Dublin.
3) Also looking forward to the Iowa/NIU game at Soldier Field, mostly to see what attendance is like. I expect nothing less than a full house from the Iowa alumni base that is so awesome and yet so annoying.
4) No doubt that scUM/Bama is the game of the week. I want to cheer for UM because they are B1G and I can't stand the SEC, yet...they're UM...

I'll be doing the same. It's weird, it's my favorite time of the year and my girlfriends least favorite. Something about "there's always football on the TV" or "you pay attention to those games more than me".

NC State has 11 votes in one poll, none in the other. The preseason polls are always a crapshoot. I would not mind seeing Tenessee stay down for a few more years.

NIU/Iowa might be a game since Iowa shouldn't be as good as in years past.

You get those too? So I have to compromise and watch pretty little liars or something like that when all the sports I'm interested in are over.

Could be a good matchup. I think Lynch, NIU's new starting QB, will have a great year.

Your girlfriend and my boyfriend should start a Sports Widows Support Group. The way I get away with it is I cook ahead of time for game day, so he's fed and I get to watch the games in peace.

I have a double X chromosome and I just cringed reading that. I feel for you; way to get around that is to always have a sport for each season.

About a month or two before the start of CFB I use that LSU fansite (see below) that lists out which networks will carry which games and I highlight the ILLINI game times, and other games that I want to see, and I put together a 2 page pocket cheat sheet (see attached) for myself. Then when my wife wants to plan a trip for us to the zoo with our daughter, or something along those lines, I can check out my pocket cheat sheet and fit the zoo trip into a time slot that I don't mind missing. With a toddler to chase around at home, my days of watching every bit of CFB from 11am to midnight are limited. But if I plan it right I can still get a few full CFB days in during a season and then only miss one time slot on the other Saturdays.

Michigan will get pummeled by Bama. UM not ready for that level of competition. My B1G rooting does not extend to Mich or OSU. Hate them both. Bama 61-7 would be a lovely day.

I think you're underestimating Dennard Robinson. Look for DR to be awesome in a 38-34 thriller over rip tide. Yay Big10!

I'm really looking forward to the national exposure of Denard.

Alabama will force him to throw, and he can't throw, so they're in big trouble

NO kidding. Plus UNLV is absolutely HORRIBLE. Minny SHOULD win this game easily. Key word...SHOULD.
