Disappointing result, but gotta admire the fight by our guys to at least put some points on the board. Let's see if we can pull one out against either Minnesota and/or Purdue.

Out of possible results we could have against Ohio State during a 2-6 season, this was a decent one.!22 points, a defensive score... good effort I suppose.

I liked seeing Jon Davis get carries again. That was my positive. I'm trying to look for one positive each week.

Agree. My thoughts:
1) Extremely happy for Ashante Williams to get that TD return. That kids given his heart and soul this year playing on D with no backup and being on almost every ST. He bought in and he's been successful because of it.

2) Our KO returns looked really good today. Hawthorne picked a hole, hit it, and had some great returns. Nice blocking by our guys as well.

3) We just don't have the athletes and/or depth to hang with teams like OSU and we found that out early in the year.

4) Oh and Jon Davis is an absolute stud and I'm looking forward to him growing in this offense over the next 2 years.

I ask this in all seriousness and am not trying to be a d*ck but did you hear how many times they mentioned our lack of depth during the broadcast today?

Another plus. The return game looked competent this week. Now to get that production consistently.

Couldn't tell. My signal was horribly scrambled. No audio but I am guessing it was brought up often. But as I said often while depth is an issue we have talent at the starter level that is not being brought out to its fullest.

The outcome was not unexpected. They didn't quit. I hope to see a closer game next weekend against Minny.

Today, after the JB injury in the 1st quarter we had 5 starters from last years team playing on D. Behind them? Virtually all true or RS freshman.

Yes, there are a couple of talented players but the unit as a whole is mediocre to say the least.

I think we will be of two different minds on this point for quite some time. I suggest we table this til 2014. Otherwise we will be arguing through this season and the next. Lol
