take out 10 minutes of this game and I think you have the most dominant Illini game since the 04-05 team. We look really good when we push the ball up and don't let their defense get set.

What a game! That wasn't the Rose Bowl but it felt good watching the Illini thrash USC! I worry about this team's legs tomorrow. Good win though, and USC is in for a rough year.

Last year, if we even win this game after that monster first half, we'd have ended up winning by 10 or less.
Tonight, even though the first 10+ minutes of the second half were sloppy, we kept the foot on the gas and still won by 30. Every game, we see more of the transformation that this team has undergone. There is nothing I can feasibly complain about right now. Illini basketball is fun to watch again.

didn't like the sloppiness in the second half. that will come back to bite us if we do it in the big ten. nevertheless, very impressive first half and a good last six minutes. let's come out with intensity tomorrow and not fall into the same trap that Texas did and we can see how we do against North Carolina on Wednesday

2 positives from this game: We played well and got some guys some confidence, and John Groce can still find things to work on : ). This could be a fun season. We'll have games that look bad because the shots aren't falling, but we'll win a lot of games this year. |

While we shot lights out and played exciting defense for primarily the first half, I was most impressed with how we crashed the boards in this one. We had 13 offensive boards! Well done boys!
