Illinois state is playing real hard against lousiville up 9 in the first half. They have good guard play

Is it just me or is Wayne Blackshear kind of a mediocre looking player for how much acclaim he had coming out of HS? I know he had an injury to his shoulder but he looks a little lost out there.

Kentucky might lose AGAIN. Illinois may be ranked ahead of them come Monday. They are not a good team - yet.

Completely agree i thought he was one, for sure two and done type player coming out. If you didnt know his name you wouldnt be able to tell he was a 5* by any means

I agree. Cal said himself pre season during that Kentucky special that he didnt think they were near as good as people thought they were gonna be. They got trees down in the pain who can block shots but they cant score.

Hawaii and UNLV play tonight. Might be a chance to see if Hawaii is pretty decent or if we really fell into that trap game.

It'll be interesting to see how Hawaii plays against #24 UNLV tonight. Could give us some perspective on how good Hawaii really is.

Hawaii is playing at UNLV, which is very different from playing at Hawaii. I hope Hawaii wins, of course, but this is apples to oranges if you compare it to our game.

Purdont ready to go down. Byrd scoreless, missed 9 3's. Purdue has missed all their 3 point attempts.

We obviously won't move ahead of #4 OSU, since it was their 1st loss.

Kentucky at #8 now has 3 losses though, so we may move ahead of them.

#13 MSU and #14 UNC each have 2 losses now, so I say we will move head of them.

#11 Creighton only has 1 loss, but it was at home to an unranked team, so they could fall way down.

#15 Oklahoma state lost. It was their first loss of the year, so we may or may not move ahead of them.

#18 NC state now has 2 losses, so we will for sure pass them.

#17 Cincinnati is also in a tight game right now.

My guess is we'll end up somewhere between 15 and 18 come Monday.

Northwestern lost today to UIC in Evanston 50-44. Name from the past Josh Crittle led UIC in scoring.

#17 Cincinnati is down right now halfway through the 2nd to Alabama, although it isn't by much.

I think we end up ahead of all of these teams, obviously not Ohio St, but the rest we probably will. But do we realistically climb 12 spots in the ladder? I guess its possible but some people will have to think highly of us for that. Then who else won this week to move up in the ladder?

Blackshear didn't play in the second half? Did he get benched or hurt?

Also, wasn't Steven Van Trease a kid that was leaving Louisville and visited Illinois this summer? Looks like he stayed on at Louisville and played 34 minutes today.
