The linebackers played decent, but they didn't have much of a chance with the horrendous secondary we had. With Brown and Monheim back next year, that should be the bright spot of the defense.

We didn't count on Brown and Bates being injured for most of the year and Dickenson being out the entire year.

Great news! I hope he is motivated to help turn this thing around next year and end his career at Illinois with an All Big-Ten type season. He certainly has the ability to play that well.

Here's hoping Brown looked in the mirror and saw the mess that was left in his wake from last year and decided he could not leave a mess like that without trying to do something about it.
