Crean them all. Promise the keys to the program to Lyle and Alexander. Hire their relatives, give them cars. I honestly don't care. I'm just sick of watching this garbage that they call basketball.

Moving forward, Groce has to incorporate giving the ball to JB early and have him drive into the lane as he is the only one that can create dribble drive offense. Plus it will suck defenders inside and open up shots from the arc if indeed he is in a position where he cant shoot

Before the season, Paul said he wanted to "win some banners." How's that going?

One step away from being where the football program is.

I know it's sort of a lame sports cliche, but this program needs a culture change ASAP. Question is, after this season, can Abrams and Egwu be counted on to make this happen? I'm not sure.

I know you all want to be hopeful and say it's just the players, and in part it is, but is this not exactly what we fired Weber for?

Groce has done an awful job here thus far. He has not inspired our players like he should have.

He's sitting at a D+ rating for me right now.

We needed to win 2 of these 4. We are now 0-3 with #1 coming to town. Tournament is gone...NIT is not a lock the way we are playing.

I miss Chester Frasier.

Agree. Lets get rid of the guys that don't play after the last loss ( which will be in the BTT ) and find guys that fit Groce's system & see if he is the answer or if he just another mid major coach.

We have been waiting for them to shoot even decently since Gonzaga.

Not going to happen my friend.

I really hope Paul has no aspirations of playing anywhere pro cause there is no way I'd want him on my team. What a pathetic player. I call uncle with these guys its just way to hard to root for.

You can only do so much with this group. We are talking about a soft group of shooting guards and small forwards who would rather shoot than drive to the bucket. The only game strategy you can have is to fire when you have an open shot from 3. There is nothing else we can do right now. Pretty easy to counter that for opposing coaches.

Nope. We're a bad team with bad attitudes.

We'll be lucky to win one more game.

Being an Illini fan is just so damn unfortunate. I really don't know how else to describe it. I'm so tired of our revenue sports being an absolute laughingstock. I mean seriously, look at the programs that have won National Championships in basketball. Some of them are an absolute joke. We've been to 5 final fours, and can't even get 1 title out of it?!? Our athletic department is pathetic, and it saddens me greatly. It would be so easy to be a blue blood, and pretty much expect a championship once every 10 years or so. Just sad

Good question. Hopefully they can be salvaged, Bruce did a number on the upperclassmen.

It's painful to watch this. That is all I can say. I just want to fast forward 2 years. Get the stink off the program and let it recover.

Hey if you have a plan to inspire BP and Griff please let us know. Our program is suffering.

I think its VERY obvious who the blame is on and it sure isn't Groce.

IU is going to run us off the floor.

Oladipo is going to have Paul in tears before the first TV timeout.

BP3's career is going to go down just like D mac, a lot of promise early, only to end in disappointment.

It is Joe's time to take this team over and stop deferring to the seniors.

Tracy is not a PG, and its not his fault. There is no other PG on the roster and he came in with no older PG's to learn from. He got thrown into a bad situation. The need for an elite ball handler is astounding. Next year is going to be rough.

And Groce is absolutely to blame for the last couple losses. Stop switching the damn big man onto the other team's PG and vice versa for god's sake. We're getting murdered on those switches and we continue to do it.

Thought it would be a battle to win this but would have hoped we would be more competitive. Don't think we really have any answers to turn this around at this point. Gotta give PT to those who fight and bench those playing half-assed. It really is our only hope going forward.

Do you think he has a magic wand? What on earth is he supposed to do with this group?

Statements like this just make me shake my head.
