Pretty good work, I actually agree with their Illini take. For those of you who don't click on the link, they compare the Illini to Fred Thompson.

Michigan State, Wisconsin and Iowa are exceptionally well done also.

Re: Big Ten teams if they were Presidential Candidates

That is a lot of fun. I particularly liked MSU/Hillary, Wisconsin/Huckabee, tOSU/Edwards, Minnesota/Romney, Illinois/Thompson, and NW/Kucinich. On the money both as to the teams and the candidates.

And I fear the Illini could, in fact, slide down that far in the BT.

They stole that idea from Steve Lavin.

Further evidence for Lavin's brilliance. A sharp and insightful analyst.

Re: Big Ten teams if they were Presidential Candidates

Someone just had to get me started on this political crap, didnt they???

I agree that Indiana is like Obama .... led by a crooked cheating piece of !!!! that should be banned from doing what they are currently doing .... fooling a lot of people but intelligent individuals can see that they are phonies ..... their word is worth less than the !!!! on the shoes of most decent people .... rules are just something to be worked around ..... dont tell the whole story, fess up, or completely and honestly answer a question .... one is likely going to drive a basketball program to ruins while the other does it to an entire country ......

How could Obama ruin the country? It would take a miracle to get us any lower than we are right now...

Nobody wants to hear my political crap, nor yours Flight, in a basketball forum. Start a general thread and we can talk all day.

Harsh...not really sure where that came from.

Glad we can agree on Illini sports since we clearly don't agree on politics.

Because he is a pseudo-American with open contempt for the flag and the pledge of ALEGIANCE and wont do squat about the flood of illegal immigrants that are costing US (YOU and me) trillions$$$. He is a radical muslim in sheeps clothing and anyone that votes for him is either ignorant or an idiot terrorist in the making.

By the way, this thread was political from the start. I dont start political threads but I dont back away from political debate either.

11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. No, it wasn't political; it was about a humorous article that was relatively unbiased politically.

Your arguments are purely emotional and show an incredible lack of insight or intelligence. Never mind my original offer; I have no desire to waste my time discussing politics with you.

Here are my instructions to you:

1) Respond to my post by calling me some sort of pinko, liberal retard.
2) Insinuate that anyone who doesn't see things your way is an unamerican freak.
3) Claim a victory which no one but you is complex enough to understand.

And please, continue to toss out your venomous idiocy any time anyone mentions the word "politics".

So . . .

yeah, Deadspin is always good for a laugh. Hopefully Illinois pulls out of its 0-2 B10 slide and move up.

I'm not in the least being hyperbolic when I write that this is the stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life.

This is the second time you've mouthed off about your own personal beliefs and I really wish you'd knock it off. Or, better yet, farewell, my newly ignored friend.

I just wish people would stop quoting him. I've had him on "ignore" for months. If you don't quote him, I don't ever see his posts.

I was just agreeing with the article ... Obama is a good comparison to Sampson/Indiana. Dont get mad at me when I point out what an accurate comparison it was.
