It's looking very complete from the inside. A little less so from the outside. I'm so glad the plywood wall is gone.
Where are the new lights going on the west side?

Good question, I'm hoping it's a continuous line of lights all the way across the West Side, that should neutralize the possibility of having to revisit the quad-shadow effect.

Thanks Dan. Based on your pictures, it hardly seems possible they can be finished by August 1st as projected. But when it gets done, it's going to be nice.

Unfortunately... I have this horrible feeling that the light standards that are up on the corners of the new press box are the placements for recycled lights from the towers. I don't see any other purpose for them.

Thanks for the update Dan. I've been in Kansas City for awhile now and it's good to see the progress of the stadium.

Re: Memorial Stadium Renovation Photos (June 30, 2008)
I know I've asked this a couple of times on these types of threads, but I'm still a bit confused as to what's going to happen. Are they just abandoning the renovation of the south endzone or will that take place later on in the future? Because it doesn't look like they've done anything to it and if they started now I can't imagine they'd be done by the home opener.
Thank you Dan for the photos! __________________ Illini > Hoosiers Cubs > Cardinals Packers > Bears Audi > BMW Dinner > Supper Soda > Pop U.S. Cellular > Verizon |

Take place later in the future is the latest word.

The mental image of Kirby avenue running underneath a bridge connecting a double decker horseshoe with a new and improved assembly hall gives me chills!
