Only winning games at a high percentage will make me feel better. It's a sad fan who is happy because their team isn't the very worst.
There are only 3 teams in the NL with a better winning percentage than the Cubs.

How about I won't be happy as long as they are regularly giving away games?

Just think if they had a bullpen??

And PCA getting called up to replace him?Belli to IL. This is getting ridiculous.
I'm a Cubs die-hard living in central Illinois in a family with divided baseball allegiances. Needless to say, baseball season hasn't always been easy for me. Cardinals fans are the most sanctimonious fans in baseball, as evidenced by them calling themselves the "best fans in baseball", and I am continuously surrounded by them.Only winning games at a high percentage will make me feel better. you don’t bring him up to watch from the dugout .And PCA getting called up to replace him?
That seems a tad shortsighted to me, I dunno. He absolutely has to be playing every day, and does that actually benefit the big league club at this moment?

The Cardinals losing is almost as enjoyable as the Cubs winning.
When asked, Counsell specifically said yesterday that PCA was only going to be a pinch runner/defensive substitute/spot starter. I don't disagree with that because we are trying to win games but if that's all he would be doing, I agree, bring someone else up and let him get at bats at Iowa.you don’t bring him up to watch from the dugout .
if he’s not playing 5 games a week , it’s stupid
Maybe they are trying to make him comfortable around MLB in general. They could think that in his case it could more important than the at bats. When asked, Counsell specifically said yesterday that PCA was only going to be a pinch runner/defensive substitute/spot starter. 16-9The sweep of the Astros makes up for the split with the Marlins.
A very solid first 25 games of the season despite all the injuries.
When you looked at our April schedule before the season & you see Texas, LAD, Padres, D-backs, Astros… you start wondering if we can play .500 ball this month.16-9
but should be 19-6
Is there anyone still on the Iowa roster? I figured David Bote might be but last I looked he was on the IL too.Wicks goes on the IL
ugh
Just heard about his passing. I remember his 1967 season when he could only pitch on weekends because he was in the National Guard. Saw him at Wrigley Field. His record that summer? 9-0. Yes, U of Illinois and University City High School, St. Louis. Thanks and RIP, Ken.Former Cub Kenny Holtzman has passed away.
Also best adult film moniker in the big leagues.Wicks replaced on the roster by Richard "Dick" Lovelady. ERA at Iowa of 5.84. He's undoubtably the best they have.
Shoutout to former Cubs pitching coach Dick PoleAlso best adult film moniker in the big leagues.
