not yet. still some things to see what happens with the current roster. feel confident 100% on Ty, Luke, and a couple others being back-we will see on a couple more guys thoughDo you have a potential starting lineup for next year, assuming things go the right way?
Predicted starting lineup next year (assuming no Domask or Hawkins):
Boswell
Storr
Rodgers
Hansberry
Dainja
Starting 5...Storr, Parker, Ty, Dain. Garrison.
Duly noted--thanks for responding.not yet. still some things to see what happens with the current roster. feel confident 100% on Ty, Luke, and a couple others being back-we will see on a couple more guys though
The state connection is not as important as the fact he’s left handed.
I'm a little skeptical. A skinny 6'4" with a mostly interior skillset. I see a poor man's Marcus Domask.
But on the flipside this was the highest scorer in the nation in Juco last year and scored the 14th most points in the country this year. A certified bucket getter no doubt, albeit not a terribly efficient or physically explosive one. He definitely has some Domask booty ball game to him.
What does a guy like this look like as a more complementary player? I assume he'd probably have to be? Not sure.
I've been saying this all year. If you could put Mayer on this team and let him play as the 3rd/4th option just shooting open spot ups and cutting he would be an absolute monster. He also was capable of guarding 1-5 and was the best shot blocker on the team.Enough with the Mayer hate. If we had this version of Shannon, Mayer wouldn’t have had to create his own shot as much
Mayer was 3rd team big 10.
Storr as a freshman and sophomore significantly ahead of where Shannon was at the same time. Shannon upped his game / tbd how storr will progress.
I don't think that Mayer's mentality would allow him to be a 3rd option. He and TJ wanted to share shots. He would flat out say it in press conferences. He shot us into a lot of games, but the reverse was also true. That game vs Arkansas, which I was there for, was uninspiring. Ty and Hawk didn't mention names specifically, but I'm pretty sure that MM was the object of some of the "addition by subtraction" lingo.I've been saying this all year. Him and Coleman were both simply asked to do too much last year based on roster flaws. Also, until the last 3 games of the year where he had a slump Mayer was shooting 36-37% from 3 on tough shots that he had to create a lot of.
I'm going to preface this by saying I love Dain and these last few weeks show you what a weapon he can be but he has limitations.Three non-shooters can't really work.
I said this awhile ago, while both have very unique oddball skillsets, Rodgers and Hawkins combine to have all the skills you need at the 1 and 5 jumbled between them. It just works as a pairing.
If our center is DD and Ty is the fixture we assume he will be, he either needs radical improvement as a 3 point shooter, or there really can't be another non-shooter out there.
This is all related to the reason I foresee Goode as a starter and major minutes getter next season. He defends, rebounds, and stretches the floor, that makes the game easier on everyone else.
Maybe but he did it at Baylor and was a huge piece for their national championship team.I don't think that Mayer's mentality would allow him to be a 3rd option. He and TJ wanted to share shots. Have you seen Amani shoot? It was very obvious that when Hawkins had to guard physical 5’s, he was overmatched. Other than Darin, we have no one strong enough to guard Clifford Omoruyi types. Let’s get Cliff?
Also, I don’t know where Amani or Morez fit, 5’s? Seems like we need a 4 that can shoot like Quincy, I don’t see that in those two young guys.
Sadly to say though UConn took over that crown.but hopefully we take it back from them tomorrowI imagine "#1 Offense" probably sounds super attractive to potential recruits.
I thought AJ Storr was in Kankaee, not Rockford? Did he play in both cities?
Or maybe its just a wrong memory on my part.
this would be awesome if we wanted to be 2024 IndianaPredicted starting lineup next year (assuming no Domask or Hawkins):
Boswell
Storr
Rodgers
Hansberry
Dainja
Bench:
Goode
Harris
Morez
Jakstys
Butler
DGL
(Probably need another big man and 2-guard transfer for depth)
It would be great to have a warrior in the backcourt. True guard: handles, zip, power, agility, court-awareness and cunning. If that is Maddox, and he makes winning plays, all right. (I don't doubt anything, never seen the dude play, but just saying it's all about making winning plays. Sounds like this kid might maybe hopefully do that. )All in on Maddox right now...they want him as their 6th man
He'll absolutely be a starter when push comes to shove but that's fine. All in on Maddox right now...they want him as their 6th man
This should give folks an idea of what type of starting lineup we’ll have next year if he’s coming off the bench. All in on Maddox right now...they want him as their 6th man
How would you describe Maddox game? How would he compare to someone like Harmon who has been that 6-7 man off the bench? This should give folks an idea of what type of starting lineup we’ll have next year if he’s coming off the bench.
Andres Feliz with a jump shot. How would you describe Maddox game? How would he compare to someone like Harmon who has been that 6-7 man off the bench?
Lville, are we still in for storr? What are the chances of getting him?Andres Feliz with a jump shot.
So yeah. Pretty damn good.
Good chance assuming he doesn't go to the draftLville, are we still in for storr? What are the chances of getting him?
