If there were lots of plan As left in the portal, that might be more reassuring...

I don't know if money was the sole reason they went elsewhere, but it seems frustrating that IL decided not to match or beat the $$ for the players we wanted. Yes, it was probably more than what was initially discussed or budgeted. But, the market is the market. Either you pay it or you end up with a mediocre team...

Last year many were unimpressed by All Valley Domask. Whats it take for BU to get a l little time to fill out what is a great start with transfers to go with an Illinois Mr Basketball in Morez!

Everyone keeps saying the NIL money is there but all signs point otherwise. We are currently projected 15th in the B1G with a projected 16-15 record. A lot of work to do

You probably already knew this but somebody has done their homework! The guys on sturdy's podcast were really high on both Humvee and Tre White! According to them if Humvee plays well in Orange and BLue this year the NBA will be all over him. He has a serious skill set and it does translate. They also mentioned that we are combing the continent for a big.

I think in terms of contingency plans. I'm curious what our backup plan is IF all the big names come off the board unexpectedly.

Reload - win +20 games, contend for B10 title and go to NCAA tourney
Rebuild - win +15 games, finish bottom half B10 and go to NIT

Brad does not rebuild he reloads! We already have 4-5 kids coming in thru portal - Boswell, White, Davis, Booth and Humrichous(?) and still chasing others.
Only Indiana & Michigan has a better incoming in B10 portal class - Carlyle, Rice Ballo and Goode. They lost 3 players as well Gunn, Sparks and Banks.
We have better portal class than other 16 schools.

Issue with pulling Euro Bigs, is they are Pros or getting paid at home...NCAA path isn't very appealing or they do commit and are back in Europe by Christmas. I know Antigua changes the math a bit, but still seems to have an air of desperation.
