having a massive bag is not indicative of being a great salesman
Leaving 2 open and redshirting Jaksty is bad roster management.
And (me speculating) we locked some of them down before prices got wild (White/Davis)It's about roster construction as well. We are spreading ours out among 4-6 guys instead of 2-3.

Bingo ...
If he does come back to college ... Anywhere but UNC or UCONN would shock me ...

So....Where do we stand with Coleman ?
I disagree. 10 is more than enough, and you wouldn't want to dilute the talent of your best guys to save resources for those extra spots.Leaving 2 open and redshirting Jaksty is bad roster management.
Once, or if?Once they land Demin.....oh myyyyyy.
Have to say I hated the idea of Coleman on UCONN or UNC. Still would hate him on UNC, but the entertainment value of Coleman and Hurley together has me reconsidering my aversion to his transferring to UCONN.I can't even imagine the antics of Coleman and Hurley both on the sideline
Where can I find this quarter zip (and/or the white one)? These are great.
Bonus points for the Manchurian Candidate work-in.I disagree. 10 is more than enough, and you wouldn't want to dilute the talent of your best guys to save resources for those extra spots.
13 scholarships just kinda doesn't make sense for the direction of where the sport is going.
It's a delicate balance and for me we're one Denzel away (a Russian Denzel, a Manchurian Candidate perhaps?) from striking it pretty perfectly.
Illinois basketball just needs to land the one big player all the insiders say is a lock and we're on easy street? That never happens! What could possibly go wrong?
How could you not be a fan of Coleman after everything he accomplished here and how far he helped advance this basketball program?I'm not even a Coleman fan but

I agree with this. You can't expect to fill the end of your bench in the portal because everyone wants playing time and money. Teams like us may be able to take another freshman development (obviously playing time and money would have to be less of a concern ala DGL). Jase Butler would have still fit really well here as a developmental piece if he was willing to grind it out. Next year will be interesting because some of the portal madness should go away since all the COVID guys are gone. Brad has set us up pretty well because we won't have the need to replace an entire next year roster due them all aging out. Obviously, they could all still want to leave, but I at least have hopes of some continuity going forward.I disagree. 10 is more than enough, and you wouldn't want to dilute the talent of your best guys to save resources for those extra spots.

could be CT bias but I would rather see Coleman in the best position possible for him after all he's done for the program the last 4 years. He's an Illini for life regardless and his jersey should be in the rafters
would be funny to see him piss off another conference worth of new teamsBingo ...
