None of them played in this era. Most (maybe all) would have played the same cards current players are. Attachment issues can be resolved. I know, I have them tooView attachment 34653
I love Coleman. Watching him grow up over 4 years and be a leader of the Elite Eight team. Gave everything. However if he chooses to play college basketball elsewhere he is dead to me. I will remember him as someone who chose to play against the Illini. He will no longer be an Illini all time great. Its an insult to all the other all time Illini greats - Eddie Johson, Bruce Douglas, Dee Brown, Deron Williams, Nick Anderson, Kendall Gill, Kenny Battle, Terrance Shannon. None of them abandoned Illinois to play for another school
Appreciate your perspective. I'm pretty clearly in the super-minority here when it comes to Coleman. I'm neither heartbroken that he left nor betrayed. He was fine. I appreciate his 4 years of growth and valued his occasional ability to take over in a game. I also grew tired of his inconsistency and this seemingly constant complaining to refs.View attachment 34653

Have they tried putting him in a headlock until he signs the NLI?There are two guys the staff has in mind if Egor doesn't work out. I think they are all pretty optimistic with where things stand with him right now. Still a couple things to work through though
Well, I'm guessing child support, maintenance and her living in your house with a new guy would leave some kind of mark?My wife abandons me and my kids after 4 years. She is "nothing" to me.
New wife married for 2 years then dies. She will always be faithful.
Loyalty Hyperbole strikes again, with a vengeance.People refuse to acknowledge the truth even when they're smacked in the face with it.
I don't entirely disagree but, none of them had this kind of opportunity in this NIL situation either, and without any transfer penalty.View attachment 34653

If Karaban stays in the draft and Coleman doesn't, Coleman is a Huskie. IMO.Have to say I hated the idea of Coleman on UCONN or UNC. Still would hate him on UNC, but the entertainment value of Coleman and Hurley together has me reconsidering my aversion to his transferring to UCONN.

It can't be a miss unless you have all the information, which obviously we don't.I mean, how does he get the massive bag at St. John's of all places? And why isn't our bag way bigger than theirs? Or maybe it already is, but anyway the bottom line is Richmond is going there and he's not going here. That's a miss. I really hope we go all out for Demin. Anything less and we're looking at a 6 to 8 seed caliber team.
Welcome to the super minority. I also wish the best for CoHawk just as i do for all who have honorably worn the O and B, but like you, I didn’t buy a ticket on the CH NBA Express.Appreciate your perspective. So, I truly just wish him the best. Hope he finds a program that helps him grow into the best player he can be.
Love it!The plan as of now is to add 1 more ... Unless something crazy happens and it's an opportunity Brad can't pass up ...
Everyone - i know that a lot of you Guys will be asking me whO that one may be but Really ... you should just be patient and let them finish cooking ... the meal will be Delightful, Exceptional, Magnificent, Impactful, and Noteworthy ...
I do think if Nico wanted to come back ... They would do it ... They would be less hesitant to do it if it would push them to 13 though ... Brad wants one open ...
Since Egor is a Russian citizen there are probably some hoops involved with that, including seeing if it’s okay to somehow arrange money to be sent to him. OFAC has all kinds of sanctions and secret lists. There are two guys the staff has in mind if Egor doesn't work out. I think they are all pretty optimistic with where things stand with him right now. Someone mentioned Coward a couple days ago and I jumped on the band wagon.A lot to like about Cedric. very quick release from deep but athletic enough to attack the rim. How many years would we have him?
And for those curious on what Kadary got at St. John's ...
Double what TJ got here last year ... That's what I was told ...
Just a guess, but I would think, had the current rules been in play during his time, Kendall Gill might’ve left after his freshman or sophomore year. Same with Dee and Deron after Bill Self left.View attachment 34653

I think Brad should pass on Bird though and go after a more elite wing. He's not athletic enough for the B1G 18. So he’s like a less athletic Larry Bird?www.illinoisloyalty.com
@sharpshot16 indicated that Geoff has been on it for a while now
