The work has only started for Illinois

Davis and Tisdale must become best friends with strength coach Jimmy Price. They need to gain size and strength. Despite a decided height advantage against a Western Kentucky team that started only one player taller than 6-5, Illinois failed to take control inside. Davis did have 10 points, but Tisdale failed to score.

McCamey needs work with Price for another reason. He needs to lose weight. McCamey plays at around 210. Weber wants him closer to 200, a drop in weight that would help McCamey's explosiveness. He had trouble staying with Western Kentucky guards.
