OK, we still don't know who's getting injured in the locker room at the half. Let's see who comes out for the second half before we start making predictions. heh!

Heard the coaches wrapped the remaining guys in bubble wrap at halftime.

Seriously, I wouldn't play MH the whole second half. No reason to. Give DJW, AJ, JCL, KL, MF and the others a ton of minutes. Save up MH for Purdue.

Look they are obviously not going to win this game, but on the bright side the freshmen will get a lot of tick. For all of you out there, and there are plenty, who wanted to see the freshmen get more playing time here is your chance.

So what you're saying is that they will lose most of the remaining games and get blown out quite often, correct? The problem with Groce at Illinois is that every year we hear what a great class he has coming in, and then they rack up a bunch of "good" learning experience in mediocre seasons. This year won't be mediocre, it will be bad. I find it amazing that some still predict 9-11 conference wins for this bunch. They will be lucky to go 6-12.

There's so much hyperbole in here. How this year ends up will depend on if anyone else is expecting a child and how soon black/Thorne come back.

We were going to lose this game anyway, so it's a good time to be missing kendrick if it had to happen. Yeah the blowout will be ugly, but hopefully a good opportunity to learn and puts a bad taste in the mouth of the kids.

If MSU had 4 starters out and we had 1 out, it'd be a much different story. This is obviously a bad game by UI, and we're heading to a no-postseason postseason, but if both teams were at full strength this would have been a very competitive game. It is what it is.

Good post although MSU would still rebound and we wouldn't.

A lot of them are freshmen. Freshmen can definitely frustrate you with those things. People often underestimate the domino effect of missing players.

Believe me, I want Coach Groce to succeed. The development of many of our players is a real concern. More importantly, things like not hustling back on defense are not related to talent.

Well, I think we can look at this thread and see all the people that shut off the TV in the Arizona game. They have raised their hands. True fans watch their team. Yeah, it sucks but you watch your team plain and simple. Otherwise, don't call yourself a fan.

There's an 11 page thread on it. Indicting the staff when we're totally depleted on the road against a top 5 team isn't all that fair.
