If I coached this team which I clearly do not, nor am capable of doing, I am telling Jaylon that not only will he not start or play much until he develops a pull-up jumper and his three point shot, he won't even practice with the team in team drills until he has developed those traits. And then I am assigning a grad asst. to work with him personally on his dribble, pull-up J, and three point shot. Ultimately, it is all about his footwork, repetition and confidence.
He is of no service to the team until he hones his pull up jumper and three point shot. In addition, he has to bulk up this off-season to defend his position better.
His vision and passing skills are way above average, but until he becomes a scoring threat, teams will slack off of him and clog up our offense.
