Indiana 74, Illinois 47 POSTGAME

That was just plain tough to watch.
We couldn't slow Yogi down even a little bit.
And to see Austin and Lewis on the floor at the same time, well, I sort of gave up right there. 18 minutes to go (or something like that) and game over.
3 to go? I think that is right

Unfortunately it all starts with a point guard. Until we have s point guard who can create his own shot and also set up others, we will never be good. I really hope Lucas is that guy . I also hope that pashner gets fired so maybe we can bring in moore as well.

And injuries or not, losing 74-47 at home is just not acceptable.

I love JG as a person but he's not the guy. 74-47 at home?? We should be able to play second stringers at home and compete better than that.

As Score caller Westside Mike would say the Illini are hot garbage. I told my son at half we'd be down8 by first time out of 2nd half. It was actually 9. Quit watching not long after that. Just awful

Should we just itemize the excuses into one post to save everyone time?

1. We just can't expect to compete with all of these injuries
2. The refs were horrible
3. We just couldn't hit shots
4. We just don't have the horses
5. It just wasn't our night

Did I miss any?

Our backseat coach knows more than our actual coach?

Had great energy in the first half. Gotta be tougher.

Some insight from Groce on the radio now.

We got a little sloopy, got to be tougher.

Gotta take pride.

Gotta have some toughness.

Junior and seniors got step to the plate.

Takes one guy... like throwing a rock in the ocean... the ripple effect.

LOL

I'm trying to figure out if this is a really clever parody post or if these are actual quote.

If he's really saying this, I've officially disembarked the Groce bandwagon. Unacceptable accountability.

Wasn't it a commercial where people were littering and he was looking over a freeway or something. He shed the tear at the very end of the commercial. Man I'm getting old.

It must be bad when I look at the score, don't make a sound, and go back to what I was doing. That means I've gone past the point of anger to straight up apathy.

For those who were making excuse after excuse for JG and saying, "We've got to be happy that he's getting so close on so many good players because he'll get a few in time" can you finally admit that there was good reason to be upset and at some point (like now) it would really matter that he couldn't land a big or a PG?
