Having two point guards coming in is obviously a great thing, but look at the scholarship chart and see the length and athleticism for the 2017 roster. It's going to be a nice change. Point guards are usually the best salesmen, so hopefully he can help the coaches fill the other hole in our roster.

i think this commitment has been coming for a while and many schools didn't bother offering. rob judson was really the only other coach recruiting him for the past few months in case groce got canned.

Yeah, a number of the pundits said a bunch of programs essentially stopped recruiting him because they thought it was just a matter of time before he came here. So I don't think it is a judgement against his talent, as much as it was other coaches not wasting their time in a losing battle.

This is something I've been keeping tabs on too. Good to see plus athletes that are or become good defenders. Hope we can see the up-tempo team that many of us have been looking for since the early Groce years. Goodwin would be another nice piece that helps with the overall team versatility. Would also like another bouncy big to pair with a potential Tilmon.
