Winner takes on the 5 seed which at this point would be either Iowa or Purdue.
We are 5-0 all time vs. Minny in the BTT.
#12 Illinois
5 is also the number of scholarship athletes MN has available.
Nope. If Wisconsin wins, they clinch the double bye and they're the 3 seed. If they lose, they're the 6 seed. Purdue can still get the 4 seed if they win and Maryland loses to Indiana. Purdue can get the 5 seed if they win and Maryland wins. Otherwise they're the 6 seed.
Back in the top 25 again. High fives all around.

Is Minny down so many players because the suspensions from a week ago will stick through the BTT or have there been injuries as well? Mason out? Murphy out?
Sorry I must have missed it, what were the suspensions?

Carlos Morris was booted about a month ago. Then the 3 guys were suspended before our game (including Mason). That suspension turned into a year ending one. And in their last game Joey King broke his foot.
As far as the reason for them being suspended...this may shed a little bit of light for you on it: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...dorsey-nate-mason-dupree-mcbrayer-rest-season
Wow. So Minnesota has found a way to be 20 points worse than an already historically bad Rutgers team.
Illinois could win it's 6th game against a B1G opponent this year with 5 of those wins coming against historically bad teams in Minnesota and Rutgers. Likely to finish 1-14 against their other B1G competition? No one should cry about the B1G schedule the Illini were dealt this year. Replacing home games against Minnesota and Rutgers with home games against MSU and Maryland would've been really ugly.
Quite possibly the easiest schedule we may ever see. Makes the season that much more disappointing. I'm ready to move on. There are a lot of things to be excited about right now and this is not one of them.
