So Moore's top 8 are:

Cal, Illinois, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, SMU, UNLV and Western Kentucky

What's odd about that list is that it is ALMOST in alphabetical order - except for us. I think that he is giving us a clue! :D

Pittsburg became the latest school to offer Goodwin. I hope Groce is doing whatever he possibly can to land him

You don't think Groce is all in? GMAB

Excellent players have lots of suitors. Always have, always will. Coach can recruit the living snot out of a kid, but ultimately, it's the kid's decision. Get used to it. At least you're not doing the recruiting.

I haven't seen enough of Moore to be overly impressed. He was Mr. BB in what many consider a down year and isn't considered top prospect in state. Will help Groce reputation with Chicago media short term. Would take a solid PG over open scholly. I think we need decrease reliance on rent a player.

The fact that is a down year in the state is irrelevant with respect to Moore. He is still pretty highly ranked nationally, at a position of need. Not only that but there are not many chances that Illinois will find a higher ranked PG in 2017. We have TJL (who is lower ranked), we will add DW (who is more of a CG at this point), adding CM would be a recruiting home run this late in the season. And he can definitely help right away in 2016-17.

Moore may not a savior but would be an excellent addition, at a position of need (and uncertainty) nevertheless.

No doubt. Especially, this late.

Weird list of schools. I'm guessing Ga Tech, ILL, and Cal are front runners, and maybe $MU for some reason.

Us being the only centrally located and "cold weather" school is somewhat concerning to me...unless he just wants to visit some of those places!

Him not coming the first time we offered is concerning to me.

He had plenty of time to commit had he wanted to.

He basically delayed taking visits and his decision because of a family emergency. Illinois just couldn't afford to strike out so they accepted the 1st commitment.

So at that NPH site describing Abu Kigab, did anyone notice that the #1 player listed, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, also had listed Illinois as "recruiting" him? Have we heard about him? I'm sure he's a long shot, but he looks pretty darn good... Then again, with TJL and Moore in the fold, he'd probably be scared off.

I forgot about that family issue. Sounds like he wouldnt have a problem playing with Lucas. Hope it happens.

Alex Roux just tweeted this:

Hearing re: the Tilmon recruitment. "The longer this drags out, the worse it is for (Illinois.) ...but getting Moore can turn it around."

Just like Dave Wischnowski, he knows nothing more than anybody else. 'I'm hearing' and even, 'my sources' means they are guessing and getting vibes from 'sources' like this board.

Those guys have legit sources, but the sources themselves don't know for sure what the kid is going to pick when the kids themselves probably don't know at this time. You just have to take the info with a grain of salt and that goes for any recruiting info.
